• Builds and oversees the deployment and operation of technology architecture, solutions and software to capture, manage, store and utilize structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources. • Builds processes and structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple inputs, route appropriately and store using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required. • Develops technical tools and programming to cleanse, organize and transform data and to maintain, defend and update data structures and integrity on an automated basis. • Adheres to design standards and assurance processes for software, systems and applications development to ensure compatibility and operability of data connections, flows and storage requirements. • Reviews internal and external business and product requirements for data operations and activity and suggests changes and upgrades to systems and storage to accommodate ongoing needs. • Facilitates technical requirements gathering, ensuring quality and consistency of our data architecture across our systems. • Foster innovation by designing and building solutions that solve business problems and by partnering with cross functional stakeholders and at senior levels. • Develop secure and high-quality production code. Review / debugs code written by others. • Actively oversee live operations of our SaaS offering, monitoring KPI’s to find opportunities and threats. • Develop features, understand customer requirements, and meet business goals. • Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet the commitments to our customers regarding reliability, availability and performance. • Implement multi-tenant systems, with focus on isolation and security. • Contribute solutions for challenging technical problems related to security, parallel and distributed systems, programming, resource management, large-scale system maintenance, and more! • Work cross functionally with a team of Implementation Managers, BAs, Engineers, BI Developers and Quality Engineers. • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends, leveraging them to drive platform innovation.
Job Requirements
- Expertise in data architecture and business intelligence systems including ELT development, data transformation, data modeling, report design / development and BI dashboard design / development.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Excellent programming skills with Python/Java
- Strong relational database skills - design, scalability, SQL Experience querying and extracting data from databases
- Data Concepts (ETL, data structures, metadata and workflow management)
- Solving complex data and technology problems
- Excellent communication skills to narrate data driven insights and technical approach
- B.S. in computer science, engineering, or related degree
- Experience with Agile software development (e.g. scrum, Kanban)
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with enterprise class software release experience as well as SaaS based short, quick product life cycles.
- Great energy and passion – must be comfortable in a rapidly changing dynamic environment
- Strong Analytical skills combined with a detailed oriented mindset
- Experience working with Bug Tracking tools such as JIRA
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and team oriented environment. Role is primarily remote with occasional travel requirements
