Role Description You will own everything that touches money and everything that keeps the company running administratively. This is the finance and operations backbone of a multi-currency, multi-rail fintech. You are not building financial models for a board deck; you are making sure balances are where they need to be every morning, every transaction reconciles, every invoice is filed, and every new hire is onboarded without friction. You will work directly with the founders, our compliance officer, external accountants in the US and Colombia, and our payment rail partners. Treasury and daily liquidity - Monitor daily cash positions across US and Colombian bank accounts and payment rail balances; flag shortfalls before they become problems. - Execute and document intercompany funding flows between the US and Colombian entities, including stablecoin-settled transfers. - Manage FX conversion needs and track exposure for treasury purposes. - Maintain prefunding levels with payment partners so payouts never fail for lack of liquidity. - Prepare a weekly treasury report for the founders: balances, inflows/outflows, upcoming obligations. Runway, burn, and budget - Own the consolidated runway model across both entities: cash on hand, committed spend, and months of runway, always current. - Track monthly burn (gross and net) and explain variances: what moved, why, and whether it is structural or one-off. - Maintain a simple budget vs. actuals view by category (payroll, vendors, rails/infrastructure, legal/accounting) and flag deviations early. - Prepare the financial inputs for investor updates and board/fundraising conversations: burn, runway, cash position. - Model the cash impact of upcoming decisions (new hires, new market launches, vendor contracts) before they are signed. Reconciliations - Perform daily/weekly reconciliation of transactions across payment providers, bank accounts, and internal ledgers. - Investigate and resolve breaks: missing payouts, duplicate charges, provider discrepancies, refund and reversal handling. - Build and maintain the reconciliation process itself (spreadsheets today, tooling tomorrow); document it so it survives you. Bookkeeping, payroll and accounting liaison - Act as the single point of contact for external accountants; ensure they receive complete, organized inputs on time. - Manage the finance inbox: invoices, receipts, tax notices, bank correspondence; nothing sits unanswered. - Support monthly close: collect documentation, answer accountant queries, review outputs for obvious errors. - Track and file all vendor contracts, invoices, and payment confirmations. - Run payroll and contractor payments end to end (including contractors on Deel), on time, every cycle. Qualifications - 2-5 years in treasury, finance operations, accounting, or payment operations; fintech or payments experience strongly preferred. - Hands-on experience with reconciliations (you have personally chased breaks, not just supervised the process). - Comfort operating across countries; exposure to intercompany flows is a plus. - Strong spreadsheet skills; ability to build and maintain your own operational tooling. - Comfort with FP&A work: burn tracking, runway modeling, budget vs. actuals (no complex modeling required, but the numbers must be right). - Extreme reliability and attention to detail: this role fails silently and expensively when things slip. - Self-directed: you will define much of your own process.
