Job Description
Bookkeeper
Hire Overseas
Role Description We're looking for a Bookkeeper with deep QuickBooks expertise to own the books for a fast-moving, fully remote software holding company operating across multiple products and revenue streams. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and financial record-keeping with minimal oversight and maximum accuracy. This is a high-ownership, execution-driven role. You will not be given detailed instructions on how to manage the books — you are expected to know QuickBooks inside and out, set up and maintain clean financial records independently, and surface the right information to leadership without being asked. If you are a strong bookkeeper who lives in QuickBooks, takes full ownership of financial accuracy, and can operate reliably in a fully async remote environment, this role is a strong fit. Qualifications - Deep, hands-on QuickBooks proficiency — you know the platform thoroughly and can set it up, manage it, and troubleshoot it independently. - Proven bookkeeping experience managing full-cycle books for a business with multiple revenue streams. - Strong reconciliation skills with a zero-tolerance approach to inaccuracies. - Ability to work fully independently in a remote environment without requiring close supervision. - Highly organized with strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through. - Clear written English communication skills for coordinating with leadership and external advisors. - Reliable and discreet when handling sensitive financial information. - Available to work full-time during US business hours. Requirements - Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping activity including recording transactions, categorizing expenses, and maintaining accurate financial records. - Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment processor accounts on a regular basis. - Ensure the chart of accounts is organized, consistent, and accurate across all entities and revenue streams. - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable and keep all records current. - Own and maintain the QuickBooks environment end to end including setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance. - Build and manage workflows within QuickBooks that keep financial operations clean and efficient. - Troubleshoot discrepancies, reconciliation issues, and data inconsistencies independently. - Leverage QuickBooks features fully to automate and streamline recurring bookkeeping tasks. - Generate regular financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries. - Surface key financial insights and flag anomalies or issues to leadership proactively. - Maintain organized financial records that are audit-ready at all times. - Support month-end and year-end close processes accurately and on time. - Coordinate with external accountants or tax advisors as needed to support filings and compliance requirements. - Maintain clean documentation of all financial activity for internal and external reference. - Support ad hoc financial requests from leadership with speed and accuracy. Benefits - You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th). - Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy. - Observance of Holidays per company guidelines. - 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive. - This role requires availability during US business hours. - Work inside a lean, profitable software holding company with multiple active revenue streams. - High-ownership bookkeeping role with direct access to leadership and real impact on financial visibility. Nice to Have - QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification. - Experience bookkeeping for SaaS, software, or subscription-based businesses. - Familiarity with multi-entity or holding company financial structures. - Experience coordinating with international accountants or tax advisors. - Background supporting a bootstrapped or founder-led company. How to Apply Please include: - Your updated resume. - A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) introducing yourself, describing your QuickBooks experience, and walking through how you have managed the books for a business with multiple revenue streams or entities. Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process. If you are a QuickBooks expert who takes full ownership of financial accuracy and wants to manage the books for a growing portfolio of software products, this role gives you the autonomy and the direct impact to do your best work. Application Process Overview Our comprehensive selection process ensures we find the right fit for both you and our clients: - Initial Application - Submit your application and complete our prequalifying questions. - Video Introduction - Record a video introduction to showcase your communication skills and work experience. - Role-Specific Assessment - Complete a homework assignment tailored to the position (if applicable). - Recruitment Interview - Initial screening with our talent team. - Executive Interview - Meet with senior leadership to discuss role alignment. - Client Interview - Final interview with the client team you'd be supporting. - Background & Reference Check - Professional reference verification. - Job Offer - Successful candidates receive a formal offer to join the team. Each stage is designed to evaluate your fit for the role while giving you insights into our company culture and expectations. We'll keep you informed throughout the process and provide feedback at each step.
