Role Description We are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Architect to create realistic engineering environments used to evaluate how advanced AI systems solve production infrastructure problems. - You will design scenarios involving distributed systems, networking, IAM, observability, deployments, scalability, and disaster recovery. - Each task will include a reproducible environment, measurable validation criteria, automated tests, a reference solution, and intentionally defective variants. - Previous AI experience is not required. - CONTRACT: Freelance contractor, output-based - COMMITMENT: Flexible workload with minimum weekly task submission requirements - LOCATIONS: Fully remote - PROCESS: 30-minute AI interview, and hiring manager review - NOTES: Compensation is paid per successfully completed task. Selected contributors should be available to begin within 24–48 hours after onboarding. - HOURLY RATE: $60 - $130/h Responsibilities - Create realistic cloud and platform engineering challenges. - Build reproducible, containerized infrastructure environments. - Design scenarios covering networking, IAM, queues, storage, scaling, and reliability. - Define measurable requirements for configuration, topology, and runtime behaviour. - Develop automated integration, load, security, failure, deployment, and recovery tests. - Create accurate reference solutions and intentionally defective variants. - Debug environments and resolve infrastructure or test issues. - Document architecture decisions, expected outcomes, and validation logic. - Review tasks and solutions created by other technical experts. Qualifications - Senior experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or systems engineering. - Personal ownership of a production-grade platform or cloud environment. - Strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalable services, queues, storage, and failure handling. - Practical experience with IAM, private networking, and service-to-service security. - Experience with observability, SLOs, rolling deployments, rollback, and disaster recovery. - Ability to automate infrastructure or testing and debug containerized environments. - Experience with Terraform or OpenTofu. - Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, or multi-cloud environments.
