• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping across a group of 4–5 companies using Xero. • Maintain accurate general ledgers, journals, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. • Prepare consolidated financial information, including intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries. • Perform monthly budget variance analysis and provide timely management reports with insights and recommendations. • Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, including superannuation, PAYG withholding, and leave entitlements. • Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, payroll tax, and other statutory reporting requirements where applicable. • Support tax planning activities by maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with compliance requirements. • Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations across all entities. • Develop financial strategies to support business growth, profitability, and long-term stability.

Job Requirements

  • Min 4 years demonstrated experience in an Accountant role supporting Australian businesses.
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation, BAS, GST, PAYG, payroll, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero, including managing multiple entities.
  • Experience with intercompany accounting, consolidations, and elimination journals.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience preparing budget variance analysis and management reports.
  • High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
