Role Description A Quality Analyst Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality and accurate virtual assistance services in the healthcare industry. You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the performance of virtual assistants, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing quality improvement initiatives to enhance overall service delivery. - Monitor and evaluate virtual assistants' performance through call and email monitoring, assessing adherence to quality assurance guidelines and service level agreements. - Identify areas for improvement in virtual assistants' performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to virtual assistants to enhance their performance and effectiveness. - Conduct regular audits and spot checks to validate the accuracy and completeness of tasks completed by virtual assistants. - Document and track quality assurance findings, trends, and recommendations for continuous improvement. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards. - Collaborate closely with Client Services Managers to discuss the performance metrics of VAs. - Communicate effectively to highlight VAs' strengths and AFIs. - Develop action plans for improvement based on feedback from CSMs and clients. - Create comprehensive process flows for various tasks handled by VAs. - Ensure all process flows are up-to-date and reflect the current best practices. - Collaborate with teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency. - Develop and maintain QA forms tailored to specific tasks and client requirements. Qualifications - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - At least 2 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality management role, preferably within the healthcare industry. (Experience in Fertility and Mental Health is preferred but not required) - Proficiency in using quality monitoring tools and software. - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Open to working night shifts. Role Description As our UM RN (Utilization Management Registered Nurse), you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the adverse determination processes and accuracy of clinical decision-making, as it relates to the application of criteria and composition of compliant denial notices. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing medical records and authorizing requested services. - Preparing cases for physician review based on medical necessity. - Partnering with both the Pre-Service and In-Patient Utilization Management teams. - Monitoring and assuring the appropriateness and medical necessity of care. - Conducting meticulous reviews of medical records and applying clinical guidelines. - Facilitating optimal patient care while ensuring compliance and fiscal responsibility. - Demonstrating exceptional clinical judgment and maintaining rigorous oversight of care appropriateness, quality, continuity, and cost-effectiveness. This position is remote with a CA RN license. PST business hours will be expected. Potential for on-call, weekend, and holiday shifts. - Reviews designated requests for referral authorizations either proactively, concurrently, or retroactively. - Gathering all information needed to make a determination and/or coordinate with the Medical Director as needed. - Ensuring compliance with turnaround times and accuracy standards are met. - Ensuring contracted providers are in place when authorizing. - Coordinating with contracting to obtain appropriate contracts as deemed appropriate. - Identifying cases that require additional case management. - Working with appropriate departments and internal staff to coordinate patient care. Qualifications - Three (3) years recent clinical experience. - Graduate of an accredited RN program. - Clear and current CA Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Knowledge of nursing theory and ability to apply or modify as appropriate. - Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding, medical terminology, and insurance benefits. - Knowledge of legal and ethical considerations related to patient information, PHI, and HIPAA regulations. Requirements - Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Previous inpatient Utilization Management (UM) experience strongly preferred. - Experience with MCG strongly preferred. - EZCap experience a plus.
