Role Description CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a fully owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC is looking for Engineer II - Java in Costa Rica with at least 3+ years of professional experience in delivering quality software, ideally across the full stack. Qualifications - 3+ years of professional experience in delivering quality software, ideally across the full stack. - Experience working with Springboot, Cucumber automation testing, Java, Kafka, Database, Kubernetes, and Restful service. - Experience in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, installing and maintaining complex software programs. - Knowledge of Java and Java Springboot framework. Knowledge of other programming languages (like Python, React, JavaScript, C#) is a plus. - Strong grasp of multiple tech stacks. - Experience with Backend Database (preferably Spanner) or NoSQL or Postgres databases. - Experience with RESTful architecture and microservices. JSON and XML is required. - Experience with Amazon AWS/GCP services is required. - Familiarity with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and modern development practices and development lifecycle using Scrum, Kanban, Lean or other agile methodologies. - Familiarity with CI/CD and testing tools. - Familiarity with messaging middleware (Kafka, SQS). - Experience with writing services as well as consuming services using REST, SOAP, XML, JSON or any combination. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent practical experience. • Design and implement automated testing frameworks • Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality standards • Continuously improve testing processes and automation strategies • Analyze and report testing results, suggest improvements

• Develop, execute, and maintain functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance test plans. • Create detailed test scripts, test scenarios, and supporting test data based on documented business and technical requirements. • Execute manual and automated testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle. • Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution while working closely with development teams. • Validate system functionality against approved business requirements, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria. • Support Configuration and Integration Testing (CIT) activities to ensure applications are fully validated before production deployment. • Participate in Integrated Design Reviews (IDR), Functional Readiness Reviews (FRR), deployment readiness reviews, and production validation activities. • Maintain testing documentation, defect logs, traceability records, and quality metrics supporting program governance. • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Test Case Designers, engineers, and project managers to continuously improve testing processes and software quality. • Recommend improvements to testing strategies, automation opportunities, and quality assurance processes that strengthen overall program performance.

• Own end-to-end test automation for our Blazor WebAssembly front end, including UI and functional test suites (e.g., Playwright) • Build and maintain API test coverage for our .NET Core back-end APIs, Azure Function apps, and dedicated authentication service — integration, contract, and regression testing • Establish mobile test automation for our .NET MAUI mobile application across iOS and Android • Leverage Claude Enterprise to generate, refactor, and maintain test scripts efficiently, and help define best practices for AI-assisted testing on the team • Integrate testing into CI/CD so automated suites run on every build and release, with clear pass/fail signals and actionable failure reporting • Track and report quality metrics — escaped defects, coverage, flaky test rates — and use them to drive improvement • Partner with developers to make testability a first-class concern in design and code review, and to reproduce, isolate, and verify bug fixes • Perform targeted exploratory testing where automation isn't the right tool, especially for new features and edge cases
