Job Description

Director, Global Solutions Engineering

UpGuard Inc.

Role Description We're hiring a Director of Global Solutions Engineering to lead the technical engine behind our revenue organization. As a cybersecurity company, our technical credibility is central to how we win and keep customers — and this leader owns it across the customer journey. You'll run a global, two-part function as a manager of managers: - Sales Engineers who drive the technical win in new business (pre-sales), and - Solutions Consultants who serve as the technical escalation path for our post-sales teams. This is a builder's role for a leader who is equally comfortable in a strategy conversation with the executive team, in a technical deep-dive with an engineer, and jumping into a live customer call to lead it when it counts. Details of the remit are below. What will you do? - Lead a global, multi-layered team. - Manage and develop distributed managers and their teams of Sales Engineers and Solutions Consultants across regions. - Hire, coach, and retain top technical talent; set clear career paths; and build a culture of technical excellence, curiosity, and customer obsession. - Own the technical win in pre-sales. - Lead the Sales Engineering team to drive pipeline conversion through world-class demos, proofs of concept, technical discovery, and value engineering — consistently earning the technical decision. - Own the post-sales technical escalation path. - Lead the Solutions Consultants team as the technical escalation path for CSMs and the driver of technical cross-sell across our product suite. - Stay hands-on when it counts. - Be willing and able to personally jump into a high-stakes customer call and lead it. - Elevate RFPs and security assessments. - Build a scalable, high-quality function for RFPs, security questionnaires, and technical/security assessments. - Enable and scale the channel. - Technically enable partners — training, certification, demo readiness, and deal support. - Partner with Enablement. - Work with Sales Enablement to design and deliver technical training, certification, demo standards, and competitive playbooks. - Be the voice of the customer to Product. - Capture field and technical feedback and channel it to Product and Engineering to influence the roadmap. - Operate as a revenue leader. - Contribute to forecasting, capacity planning, and go-to-market strategy with the CRO and revenue leadership team. Qualifications - A demonstrated track record of building and leading a world-class Solutions/Sales Engineering team. - Experience selling and supporting a genuinely technical product to technical buyers and evaluators. - Proven experience as a manager of managers leading distributed or global teams across multiple time zones. - Ownership of the technical experience across the customer journey. - A hands-on disposition — you're credible and willing in the room. - A track record of building or scaling RFP/security assessment functions. - Experience technically enabling channel/partner ecosystems. - A strong partnership orientation — you've worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Enablement. - Excellent executive communication skills. - Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth, remote-first environment. Benefits - Monthly Lifestyle subsidy: Use this for financial, physical, and mental well-being. - WFH set-up allowance: To ensure you have the right environment to work in. - $1500 USD annual Learning & Development allowance: To support your career development. - Annual leave: PTO plus two additional UpGuardian leave days. - 18 weeks paid Parental Leave: Irrespective of parenting role. - Personal Leave Allowance: This includes sick & carer’s leave. - Fully remote working environment: No compulsory attendance at physical offices. - Top-spec hardware: All team members will be provided with top-spec laptops. - Generative AI subsidy: Paid subscriptions for all team members to access generative AI tools.

Role Description Picarro is looking for a Design Engineer to own the design portfolio across our Industrial Solutions products. This is a hands-on role for someone who thinks in systems, sweats the details, and can move fluidly between design and code. Shaping how our products look, feel, and behave from prototype through production. Good design at Picarro means something specific: our users are compliance managers, EHS leads, and field operators making high-stakes decisions under real-world constraints. We care about clarity, trust, and workflow efficiency — not engagement or delight for its own sake. You will define and maintain design standards across Industrial Solutions, contribute directly to prototypes, and make production code contributions that bring designs to life. You will work closely with PM and engineering to ensure design intent survives the handoff, ensuring that what ships matches what was envisioned. Responsibilities - Design Ownership: Own the design portfolio for Industrial Solutions, establishing and maintaining visual, interaction, and workflow standards across all products. You are the voice of design quality on the team. - User Research & Workflow Design: Deeply understand how industrial customers, compliance managers, EHS leads, and field operators work. Map user journeys, identify friction, and translate complex operational workflows into product experiences that are intuitive under real-world conditions. - Prototype Development: Collaborate with PM to build and refine product prototypes. You contribute, shape, and raise the quality bar before engineering picks work up. - Production Contributions: Make targeted code contributions in production to implement or refine UI and interaction patterns. You bridge the gap between what design specifies and what engineering delivers. - Design Review: Review production PRs for design and UX fidelity. Catch drift between intent and implementation before it reaches customers. - Design System Stewardship: Own and evolve the design system for Industrial Solutions, including components, patterns, and documentation to ensure consistency across the product surface. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Design, HCI, or a related field. - 3–5 years of experience in a design engineering, UX engineering, or product design role. - A portfolio of shipped product work — we want to see what you’ve built, how you think, and how your design decisions held up in production. - Demonstrated ability to design and document complex user workflows, not just screens. - Strong visual and UX design sensibility with the vocabulary to clearly articulate design decisions. - Proficiency with Figma for user flows, wireframing, prototyping, and handoff. - Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS; you can read, write, and contribute to production code. - Experience owning or contributing to a design system. - Comfortable working closely with both PMs and engineers — you can speak both languages. - AI-forward mindset with hands-on experience using AI tools in your design and development workflow. Preferred Qualifications - Experience designing for data-dense, industrial, or enterprise environments where users are managing complex operational workflows. - Comfort working with user research outputs, synthesizing interview findings, usability results, and journey maps to inform design decisions. - Experience building prototypes that informed real engineering work, not just mockups. - Exposure to backend systems sufficient to understand technical constraints on design decisions. - Experience with or understanding of AI agents applied to design or frontend development workflows. - Prior experience in a startup or high-growth technology company. Salary & Benefits The base salary range for this full-time position is $130k-$170k, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location. Total compensation includes base salary, bonus eligibility, and equity. - Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance - Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) plans - Life, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability Insurance - Flexible Vacation Policy and Paid Holidays - Employee Referral Program - 401K - Social events (summer picnic, holiday party, team lunches, etc.) - On-site Health & Wellness programs (fitness challenges, outdoor bootcamp, flu-shots, etc.)

GTM Engineer

Paires

Paires is where founders come to raise capital. We pair them with the right investors from a large, engaged global investor network, then our agents run the warm outreach and manage the relationships that turn into meetings.

Role Description We are hiring a GTM Engineer to own top of funnel: the data and automation engine that finds the right people at the right moment and turns them into meetings. Paires is an AI-first fundraising platform. We pair founders with the right investors from a large, engaged global investor network, then run the warm outreach that turns into meetings. It is a two-sided platform, live with paying clients, profitable and self-funded, built by a small, senior, flat team that ships fast. The role involves: - Owning top of funnel and the engine behind it. - Ensuring the best deals reach us at the right time. - Engaging new investors when we have something valuable for them. - Building partnerships that open doors on their own. - Running at real scale with a focus on relevancy over volume. - Researching every touch to ensure it's worth the other person's time. - Nurturing relationships for the long run. - Building systems that find the right people and catch the right moment. - Keeping the engine running around the clock without quality slipping. Qualifications - Have owned top of funnel somewhere and driven new meetings, regardless of title. - Have worked one ICP deep and long, navigating tough sales cycles. - Know your numbers from memory: volume, reply rate, booked rate, and what you refused to send. - Write real code: scripts, APIs, n8n, Clay, and Claude Code with MCPs all count. - Strong SQL or Python skills are a bonus, not a requirement. Requirements - Experience in owning top of funnel processes. - Ability to work deeply with one ICP and manage challenging sales cycles. - Strong understanding of key metrics related to outreach. - Proficiency in coding and data management tools. Benefits - Fully remote and asynchronous work environment. - Flexible hours with some overlap with US Eastern time. - Meetings batched on Mondays and Thursdays, allowing for deep work the rest of the week. - Access to the best AI tooling, including paid tools like Claude Code and Cursor. - Collaboration with our GTM lead. Company Description Paires is an AI-first fundraising platform that connects founders with the right investors from a large, engaged global investor network.

Role Description We're looking for engineers who are AI-native, have real fundamentals in programming, data, and systems, and have the judgment to get the most out of LLMs - and know where they break. The work spans enterprise document processing, workflow automation, computer vision, and financial research tooling, across finance, healthcare, and enterprise clients. This is a role for someone who ships, owns outcomes, and wants unusual amounts of responsibility early. What You’ll Do - Own AI product builds end to end, from concept through production, on a client engagement. - Decide what to build and how: gather requirements, pressure-test what stakeholders ask for, and prioritize the work that matters. - Prototype fast with LLMs, then harden into production with the data pipelines, integrations, and evals that make it trustworthy. - Do the data engineering enterprise work requires: ingestion, data modeling, and ETL. - Serve as the primary technical contact for clients - talk shop with their engineers and give their executives clarity. - Instrument what you build (analytics, funnel metrics, error analysis) and iterate on real usage, not assumptions. - Own reliability, security, and cost: auth, secrets, PII handling, and not blowing up the cloud bill. - Write up what you learn; for the team, for clients, and publicly. Qualifications - Strong engineering fundamentals: programming, debugging, and system design. You think well beyond the happy path. - You've shipped something real with an LLM that got actual usage - ideally with error analysis and evals on your outputs. - Data engineering: data modeling and architecture, plus ETL/pipeline experience (Airflow, Dagster, Inngest, Prefect, or similar). - Web and infra fundamentals: auth and web security, profiling slow queries (N+1, unnecessary joins), CI/CD, and cost-aware deployment on a major cloud. - You use modern AI tooling (e.g., Claude Code) daily, with customized workflows. - High agency: you frame ambiguous problems, state your assumptions, and push work forward without being managed. - Strong writing and a high say:do ratio - you can turn a long, meandering client call into a clean set of tickets. Nice To Haves - Depth in one of our core verticals: financial services, healthcare, or enterprise / contact-center AI. - Comfort being client-facing at a senior level. - Fluency in and preference for TypeScript - much of our stack is full TS. - You've built observability for an AI product. - You're plugged into the applied-AI community. Why This Role Is Hard To Fill Most engineers land on one side of a line. Strong classical engineers often haven't built the judgment to know what LLMs can and can't do. Fast "vibe coders" can spin up a demo but can't debug it once it hits real data, real scale, or a real security requirement. We need both - plus the product sense and agency to run a client build largely alone. Someone who needs clean requirements and heavy supervision won't thrive here, and neither will someone whose work falls apart the moment it leaves the happy path. You Might Be A Fit If - You've built and deployed something 0→1; shipped it, got real usage, and iterated. - You're T-shaped: deep in one area (ML, full-stack, data, or security) and rounding out the rest. - You've been the solo or founding engineer on a product and owned outcomes, not just tickets. Logistics - Fully remote. We have team members across North America and internationally, mostly overlapping North American time zones. Work when and where you want, as long as the work gets done. - Full-time or contract depending on the engagement. - Compensation calibrated to your location and seniority - we'll talk comp and align on specifics early.
