Role Description VTG is seeking a Director, Army IT Modernization. - Lead full lifecycle execution of Army modernization efforts, ensuring disciplined performance across planning, engineering, implementation, deliverables, staffing, schedule, quality, and mission outcomes. - Serve as VTG’s senior operational lead for Prime contractor, Government, and internal coordination, ensuring oversight of compliance, reporting, risk, issue resolution, and performance visibility. - Maximize program performance while expanding scope, authorized work, and Army modernization growth opportunities. Qualifications - 20+ years of experience supporting the U.S. Army, DoD, federal, or military programs, with leadership experience in program execution, operations, IT, communications, cyber, intelligence, or modernization environments. - Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, information technology, cybersecurity, business, or related discipline required. - Master’s degree preferred, ideally in information technology management, engineering, telecommunications, cybersecurity, business, or a related field. - Senior-level experience managing federal or military contracts, customer relationships, and operational delivery. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Government customers, Prime contractors, industry partners, and internal executive leadership. - Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, resolve execution challenges, and support growth within existing customer environments. - Excellent executive communication, briefing, problem-solving, and relationship-management skills. Requirements - PMP certification preferred. - Prior U.S. Army service or extensive direct support to Army organizations preferred. - Experience with Army modernization, network infrastructure, C5ISR, cyber, communications, IT infrastructure, or systems integration programs preferred. Benefits - Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $120.00/hr which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
