• Set the architectural vision and roadmap for your Centers of Excellence (COEs, our name for managed customer engagements): where each solution is going and why. • Provide architectural continuity across the engagement lifecycle, so direction and context carry through every handoff and phase. • Be the reference point your team and your customers turn to for architecture and solution direction. • Identify the deep specialists an engagement needs (for example ESM, asset management, or migration experts) and bring them in, or carry that depth yourself where it matches your specialization. • Shape the transition from sales to delivery: solution intent, the skills the engagement will take, and kickoff direction. • Partner with the Technical Program Manager, who owns the plan and governance: milestones, cross-workstream dependencies, service-level commitments, and escalations. • Act as the architecture conscience through the build, reviewing key technical decisions and keeping delivery true to the roadmap and design. • Watch the architectural health of your accounts and step in early when the solution drifts from the direction you set. • Partner closely with the Technical Lead, who owns the build, clearing architectural blockers so the team keeps moving. • Lead solution design and shape the engagement: what needs to happen and what skills it will take. • Provide technical and feasibility input when a deal needs an expert reality check. You inform the commercial conversation; the Account Manager leads it.

• Collaborate with customers and Solution Architects to define end-to-end system design, creating blueprints for IVR and voice workflows, omni-channel routing, ticket lifecycles, and key integration points; design scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-effective architectures on Amazon Connect and AWS, applying Well-Architected Framework principles; finalize and own the Technical Design Document. • Build and configure Amazon Connect contact flows and supporting components, and develop custom application logic using AWS Lambda, Amazon Lex, Amazon Polly, S3, Kinesis, and DynamoDB; build custom agent experiences with the Amazon Connect Streams API and a custom Contact Control Panel (CCP), and extend the solution with Amazon Connect Cases, Customer Profiles, Contact Lens, and Amazon Bedrock agents where appropriate; write clean, maintainable code in Python, Java, or Node.js; develop and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred, AWS CloudFormation also supported) and CI/CD pipelines to support repeatable, automated deployments. • Validate and confirm the technical approach and architecture, ensuring alignment with AWS best practices and client security and compliance requirements; approve configuration changes and custom application deployments, and drive complex technical issues to resolution; select the appropriate AWS services for each use case, balancing performance, scalability, security, and cost. • Architect and implement seamless integrations between Amazon Connect / AWS and external systems such as CRM, WFM, and ERP platforms; lead migration efforts from legacy contact center platforms (for example, Salesforce Service Cloud, Five9, or Genesys) to Amazon Connect, analyzing existing systems and developing pragmatic migration strategies. • Act as a technical advisor on Amazon Connect platform capabilities, supporting account and solutioning teams with discovery, solution demonstrations, proofs of concept, and effort estimation as needed. • Provide strategic technical oversight, mentorship, and hands-on support to Application and Quality Engineers; serve as the primary technical consultant to clients, leading discovery sessions, design workshops, solution demonstrations, and configuration reviews; bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Coordinate with the Quality Engineer to ensure thorough testing of all agent, customer, and business experiences; review and validate test cases, with a focus on end-to-end experience quality; monitor and tune application performance in production. • Ensure clear and continuous communication between the technical delivery team, the Project Manager, and the client; proactively identify scope creep and potential technical blockers to prevent cost leakages, and ensure the final solution is secure, cost-optimized, and easily maintainable by the client's operations team.

• Lead the design and architecture of POS terminal solutions, ensuring security, scalability, performance, and integration with various hardware and payment systems. • Develop and maintain architectural documents and diagrams for POS terminal systems, ensuring all platforms are well documented and up to date. • Make architectural decisions on POS terminal software, integrating various payment technologies, EMV standards, and ensuring hardware compatibility. • Lead the development of POS-related applications • Optimize system performance and security, particularly around payment processing and EMV protocols. • Participate in planning sessions with product and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet market needs and business goals. • Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices for mobile and embedded systems development, especially for Android Native development. • Define and enforce software engineering best practices across the POS and related teams to improve efficiency and developer productivity. • Ensure the stability and reliability of POS terminal products and applications, monitoring system performance and troubleshooting as necessary. • Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams, helping them grow their skills and contribute to the broader technical vision. • Participate in the hiring process, screening engineers with expertise in POS systems, mobile, and embedded development.
