Role Description We are looking for an experienced Confluent Platform Architect with strong expertise in designing, implementing, and operating event-driven and real-time streaming architectures across cloud and self-hosted environments. The role requires deep hands-on knowledge of the Confluent ecosystem, scalability, security, and enterprise-grade operations. Qualifications - Strong hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka and its ecosystem, including: - Kafka Connect - ksqlDB - Apache Flink - Schema Registry - Confluent Tableflow - Experience working with Confluent Cloud services. - Experience designing and managing self-hosted Confluent Platform architectures. - Hands-on exposure to: - Kubernetes-based deployments - Manifest YAMLs and GitOps tools (ArgoCD) - Platform security (LDAP, mTLS, SASL) - High Availability (HA), scalability, and fault-tolerant setups. - Experience with Terraform and GitHub pipelines for CI/CD automation. - Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment strategies. - Good working knowledge of Python and Java. - Experience building and maintaining custom Kafka connectors or extensions is a strong plus. - Proven experience in solution design for event-driven and real-time streaming use cases. - Ability to design systems that are: - Highly available - Scalable - Fault-tolerant - High-throughput - Experience with observability and monitoring stacks, including: - Splunk and Grafana dashboards - Azure Monitor - Log Analytics - OTEL (Open Telemetry) - Prometheus - Ability to define operational metrics, alerts, and monitoring strategies. - Good exposure to Azure cloud services, including: - Basic networking concepts - Azure Blob Storage - Azure Container Registry (ACR) - Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Requirements - Experience working in enterprise-scale data platforms. - Exposure to analytics engines (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.). - Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
