Role Description The Biologics Prior Authorization Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the initiation and continuation of biologic therapies. - Manage the workflow from the provider’s order through medication approval, delivery, and ongoing treatment support. - Prepare, submit, and track prior authorizations, appeals, and supporting insurance documentation. - Follow up with insurance companies and proactively resolve authorization delays or treatment barriers. - Coordinate prescriptions and medication delivery with specialty pharmacies. - Assist patients with enrollment in manufacturer assistance and medication access programs. - Educate patients about approval timelines, specialty pharmacy requirements, and next steps. - Maintain accurate patient records and authorization updates in the EMR. - Collaborate with providers, nurses, pharmacies, insurers, and other clinical staff to support continuity of care. - Prepare and maintain biologic medication records, status reports, and tracking systems. Qualifications - At least 1 year of previous experience handling medication prior authorizations is required. - Experience with biologic medications, specialty pharmacies, or infusion therapies is strongly preferred. - Previous experience working in a medical office or specialty practice. - Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred. - Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credential (CMA/RMA) is preferred. - Proficiency with EMR systems and other healthcare-related software. - Strong understanding of insurance documentation and authorization processes. - Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. Requirements - Must speak and write English clearly and professionally. - Must have relevant work experience. - Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory). - Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required. • Assist clients with travel planning and coordination • Research destinations, accommodations, cruises, resorts, transportation, and activities • Coordinate travel arrangements based on client preferences and budgets • Communicate with established travel suppliers regarding availability and reservations • Maintain accurate client records and travel documentation • Review travel confirmations and itinerary details for accuracy

• Coordinate and assign note-taking and captioning shifts for live lectures, corporate webinars, and events from September to May. • Efficiently log upcoming captioning sessions into our proprietary booking system and assign them to the appropriate Captioners and Note takers. • Communicate with recruitment to recruit or activate backup service providers to ensure 100% coverage. • Handle last-minute call-outs, technical difficulties, or schedule shifts with urgency and composure. • Ensure specialized subjects (e.g., advanced medical lectures or technical engineering seminars) are paired with Note-takers and/or Captioners who have the appropriate background. • Act as the primary point of contact for our team regarding availability, scheduling policies, and updates.

• Profitably underwrite complex new and renewal business through risk selection, pricing, contractual integrity, and account management, in accordance with delegated authority, and ensuring regulatory compliance. • Demonstrate critical thinking in assessing the risk and identifying exposures and controls. • Price risk commensurate with exposures and controls. • Set appropriate terms and conditions to deliver a profitable portfolio. • Document assigned files with underwriting thought process. • Serve as a subject matter expert to assist team members with complex risks. • Through effective portfolio management skills, achieve profit and premium plans for prescribed business unit strategies. • Achieve production goals within assigned territory. • Responsible for marketing, which includes both in-person and virtual sales calls with agencies and insureds. • Prospecting and developing a strong pipeline of new business opportunities. • Develop and maintain successful relationships with producers and agencies. • Represent UFG in the marketplace, articulating the company’s capabilities in underwriting, risk control, and claims, across all business units at UFG. • Collaborate with Business Unit and Line of Business underwriting, Sales and Distribution, Underwriting Center, Underwriting Support, Risk Control, Legal, Claims, and other internal partners to ensure optimal stakeholder management. • Complete agency reviews, capturing appropriate intel around market opportunities. • Provide feedback to management on the current state of the marketplace, agencies, and competition. • Mentor and train team members, acting as a resource for the team to answer questions, resolve escalated issues, and provide guidance. • Represent the field underwriter perspective in key corporate initiatives and projects. • Support and participate in the deployment of technical underwriting training/content.
