Role Description The System Vice President of Finance for Ambulatory Surgery is a senior leadership role responsible for all financial planning, reporting, budgeting, analytics, and project modeling across CommonSpirit’s Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) portfolio. This individual serves as the finance lead supporting ASC operations, business development, and executive leadership, ensuring timely and accurate financial insights that drive growth, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making. - Provide oversight of core FP&A processes, including forecast development, variance analysis, performance reporting, and multi-year financial modeling. - Partner closely with ASC operations, business development, strategy, accounting, and market leadership to support both organic and inorganic growth activities. - Lead all financial reporting, performance analysis, and strategic insights for our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) portfolio. - Drive annual budgeting and multi-year forecasting for all ASC operations, partnering closely with operational and market leadership. - Spearhead financial modeling and business case development for new ASC growth initiatives (de novo, expansions, M&A) and strategic projects. - Manage financial relationships and reporting for ASC joint ventures, ensuring transparency and compliance with partners. - Act as a key strategic partner to ASC operations and executive leadership, guiding performance improvement and long-term planning. - Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and continuous improvement. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field. - 8–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or healthcare finance. - Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site operations or service lines, ideally in ambulatory, outpatient, ASC, or hospital settings. - Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including proficiency with Excel and financial systems. - Experience preparing and presenting financial information to senior leaders. - Team leadership experience. Requirements - Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MS Finance) or CPA. - Experience in ASC financial operations, physician partnerships, or JV environments. - Experience supporting M&A or capital development modeling. - Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement, cost structures, and operational drivers.
