Role Description As the Sr. Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will be responsible for leading projects with complex internal and client use cases, as well as strategic business objectives. The Sr. BI Analyst will use data analysis and cross-functional collaboration to inform business intelligence strategy and deliver impact through data-powered insights and dashboards. - Identify analytic needs and define key performance indicators (KPIs). - Provide input to a reporting semantic model. - Deliver internal- and external-facing Tableau dashboards. - Partner with key stakeholders to understand internal and external (client) analytic needs and logic. - Collaboratively define success and develop measurement frameworks. - Gather, analyze, and interpret business requirements. - Institute and enforce documentation standards for business intelligence dashboards. - Drive consistency in metric names, calculations, and delivery. - Demonstrate subject matter expertise regarding data relevant to RxVantage use cases. - Gain insights into the business aspects of life sciences, healthcare providers, and the pharmaceutical industry. - Build scalable, high-performance BI solutions. - Define BI strategy for new and existing dashboards. - Work with a Data VP and Data Product Manager to create BI roadmaps. - Communicate project status and meet agreed-upon deadlines. - Work with the DevOps team to define and implement a security framework for Tableau. - Bring data to life through clear and meaningful storytelling. - Utilize data visualization techniques to effectively communicate findings. - Present to the data office, product organization, clients, and executive-level stakeholders. - Guide leadership to make the best use of analytics. - Analyze raw data to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights. - Perform data profiling to identify anomalies and inconsistencies. - Conduct trend analysis, forecasting, and variance reporting. - Deliver high-quality solutions and recommendations. - Independently work through a Jira backlog of user requests. - Reconcile divergent demands from multiple stakeholders. - Mentor junior team members on analytics, storytelling, and communication best practices. - Influence and support the standards of excellence in analytics. Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics. - Minimum of 3 years working with Tableau and/or Power BI. - Bachelor's degree preferred. - Healthcare data experience strongly preferred. Requirements - Advanced expertise with Tableau's functionality and security frameworks. - Advanced expertise with PowerBI and its security frameworks. - Advanced expertise in data storage strategies for maximizing BI performance. - Proficiency in data visualization techniques and BI best practices. - Proficient with data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R). - Familiarity with Snowflake dashboards. - Experience building client-facing BI solutions. - Data modeling experience preferred. This role partners closely with Data Engineering, IT Security, AI/ML teams, and business stakeholders across all functions. Responsibilities: Platform Administration & Federated Governance - Administer Power BI tenants including Premium/Fabric capacity, workspace lifecycle, gateway management, and deployment pipelines across dev, test, and production environments. - Design and maintain governance frameworks for federated Power BI deployments — defining workspace topology, naming conventions, dataset ownership, and cross-team publishing standards. Fabric AI Agent - Design, build, and deploy Fabric AI Agent Skills that expose enterprise data, metrics, and workflows to business users through natural language interfaces. - Collaborate with AI/ML and business teams to identify high-value use cases for agent skills: sales pipeline Q&A, customer health queries, operational KPI dashboards via chat. RBAC, row-level security & access governance - Design and implement enterprise-grade RBAC across Power BI, Fabric, and Snowflake — ensuring consistent identity governance from source to consumer. Semantic modeling & reusable data foundations - Build and maintain certified semantic models as the single source of truth for enterprise KPIs and business metrics. - Establish dataset certification standards, versioning, and deprecation workflows to manage the semantic model lifecycle. SRE, Performance & Environment Management - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Fabric Git integration, and the Power BI REST API to automate deployment, testing, and rollback. - Produce migration runbooks, risk registers, and rollback procedures; communicate status to business and technical stakeholders. - Define SLIs/SLOs for report load time, dataset refresh success rate, agent response latency, capacity utilization, and API availability; own incident response runbooks.
