• Lead database deployments, including design, configuration, migration, and integration. • Conduct architectural reviews and make recommendations for applications and databases, ensuring high availability and scalability. • Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and health checks to maximize reliability and efficiency. • Act as a trusted advisor in a client-facing, consultative capacity, providing guidance on scaling, architectural improvements, and database best practices. • Create and deliver comprehensive technical documentation, project plans, and reports to ensure project transparency and customer success. • Mentor and educate customers and internal teams on MySQL/MariaDB database features, tools, and best practices. • Administer and maintain SQL databases and Linux environments with a hands-on approach.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with MySQL/MariaDB.
  • Proven expertise in end-to-end database migrations.
  • Extensive experience leading database deployments, including design, configuration, migration, and integration.
  • Strong track record in conducting architectural reviews and making recommendations for high availability and database optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and health checks.
  • Strong consultative and client-facing skills, with the ability to recommend and implement database best practices and scaling solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating detailed technical documentation, project plans, and reports.
  • Proven ability to mentor customers and internal teams on MySQL/MariaDB features and best practices.
  • Hands-on administration and maintenance experience for SQL databases and Linux environments.
  • Fluent in English, written & verbally.
