Role Description - Translate product strategy and epics into well-defined user stories and a prioritized backlog that aligns with business objectives and customer needs. - Act as the customer advocate throughout agile ceremonies, ensuring requirements and acceptance criteria are clearly defined and understood. - Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric SaaS payroll solutions. - Oversee backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness to drive smooth and timely product delivery. - Lead product demos, gather stakeholder feedback, and iterate for continuous improvement. - Facilitate effective cross-functional communication to ensure alignment and successful product launches. - Partner with implementation and support teams to gather post-launch feedback and promptly address issues or enhancements. - Evaluate technical and functional trade-offs to meet the needs of enterprise-level payroll customers, incorporating them into product requirements. - Possess a deep understanding of end-to-end U.S. payroll processes including earnings, deductions, taxes, retro pay, garnishments, general ledger integration, and direct deposits. - Interpret and translate U.S. federal, state, and local payroll compliance laws including taxation, wage and hour regulations, and year-end reporting (W-2, 1099, etc.) into system requirements.
