Founding Engineer - High-Growth DeFi Mobile Trading App Location: Remote - US Remote (Must be able to travel to NYC 2 weeks at a time, every 1-2 months for in person collaboration) Compensation: $200K - $300K We are a rapidly growing mobile app—the “Robinhood for DeFi”—that allows anyone to trade cryptocurrencies on-chain through a user-friendly interface. Since our launch, we have attracted 1.5+ million users. We are a lean, mission-driven team dedicated to making decentralized finance open and accessible to the world. We are looking for a Founding Engineer to assume a hands-on role in designing, building, and maintaining the production features that power our platform. You will have end-to-end feature ownership across both our mobile and backend systems, shaping the core user experience for millions of users. This role demands rapid iteration, a security-first mindset, and the ability to design robust, scalable features. You will be a decision-maker and implementer, directly influencing the technical direction of the company. What You'll Be Doing: - Product Ownership: Design, build, and ship delightful, high-impact features end-to-end across mobile (Flutter) and backend (Go), shaping the core user experience. - Rapid Iteration: Collaborate closely with design, product, and growth teams to prototype, test, and launch new ideas quickly, ensuring we ship often and learn fast. - User-Centric Development: Dive deep into user feedback and product analytics to inform decisions, continuously prioritizing usability and performance. - Cross-Platform Engineering: Own full-stack features from Flutter frontends to Go backends, ensuring clean architecture and high performance across iOS and Android. - Quality & Reliability: Uphold engineering best practices, write high-quality code with strong test coverage, and foster a security-first culture.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 2–4+ years in Product Engineer or Design roles, preferably at high-growth mobile apps or in Web3/crypto.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to design and develop end-to-end features that are robust, scalable, and cost-effective.
- Product Sense: Deep knowledge of design systems and consumer behavior.
- DeFi Passion: Strong interest or experience in crypto/blockchain. You are excited to bring on-chain products to the masses.
- Tech Stack Familiarity: Experience with or eagerness to learn our stack: Flutter, Go, Postgres, Kubernetes, and Solana.
- Preferred Experience (Nice-to-Haves):
- 2–4 years of experience working on consumer mobile apps, preferably financial apps.
- Previous experience at a company during a rapid growth phase (e.g., startup to mid-size).
- Hands-on experience with blockchain technologies (e.g., Solana, Ethereum, L2s).
- Expertise in designing and implementing robust security architectures and protocols.

Role Description Welty Energy is looking to add a Distribution Engineering Technician to our team! As a Distribution Line Engineer, you will support projects as part of a team of Distribution line engineers and designers to provide design services for our utility clients. This role is expected to work near our client sites in Eastern Pennsylvania mirroring EST working hours. The role may be considered for a remote position for the right candidate. - Prepare construction plan documents as required per project. - Perform analysis/modeling of wood, steel, concrete, and ductile iron poles. - Provide technical assistance to the Welty Project Management Team as requested. - Verify projects are following all applicable client standards. - Utilize client software to manage drawings checked out by Welty. - Perform site visits when necessary. - Consult on internal projects when requested by the PM, Portfolio Manager, or Executive Vice President. - Perform Quality checks to ensure project quality and project completion before submitting project. - Perform Electrical Calculations (Load ratings, Transformer Sizing, etc.). - Be the main contact for team questions and technical issues. - Train new hires on software, engineering/construction processes, types of equipment, etc. Qualifications - Associate's degree in drafting or equivalent technical program. - 2+ years of experience designing distribution projects utilizing AutoCAD and/or DDS (Distribution Design Studio). - Relevant experience on distribution design, focused on 12kV to 34.5kV preferred. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Effective organizational skills. - Be able to travel 15-30% of the time based on business needs.
