Job Description

Project Technician

ZEISS Group

• Represent ZEISS as onsite lead during installation of all Project related content • Install, troubleshoot, and run off ZEISS CMM automated loading systems • Direct and support end user skilled trades teams during the installation of ZEISS CMM enclosure and automated measurement systems. • Oversee ZEISS equipment as it moves thru the PRO TAG process. • Program and trouble shoot safety systems and electrical systems • Program and trouble shoot Watlow HVAC controller • Communicate on site installation status to project manager • Work with and validate deliverables of ZEISS contractors & vendors • Document system acceptance and provide installation report to project manager • Prepare custom documentation for the operation of each unique system • Identify and report necessary Engineering Changes • Support Engineering team in the development and validation of engineering changes • Train customer on system use

Job Requirements

  • Mechanical inclinations and skills preferred
  • Verbal and written communication skills with an ability to create concise technical reports.
  • Mechanical detailing - reading blueprints, CAD Drawings, etc..
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Electrical systems troubleshooting experience desired
  • Must be a team player across the organization.
  • Must have valid US driver license
