• Provide clients and prospects with compelling, actionable advice regarding their Microsoft pricing and contracting needs, including negotiation strategies and ongoing vendor management, via virtual or face-to-face interactions • Develop and publish innovative, high-impact insights on software pricing and contracting, especially Microsoft, via research articles, webinars, events, and client briefings • Research, analyze, and forecast trends in software, SaaS, and cloud licensing to deliver forward-looking guidance • Lead or participate in ideation and research discussions, collaborating across the BTI community • Conduct in-depth analysis to diagnose client challenges, reframe their strategies, and drive business outcomes • Be client-centric while also encouraging clients to engage regularly with Gartner • Proactively work with the wider sales organization and deliver outstanding sales support to retain and grow the business • Represent Gartner’s insights and methodologies with credibility in client engagements and media interactions
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred
- 8+ years’ experience with a minimum of 5 years work experience in SaaS/software contract negotiations, technology procurement, category management, vendor management or software asset management within a buying organization, outsourcer, consulting firm, or reseller
- Extensive, recent, hands-on experience negotiating with Microsoft (within last 12 months)
- Subject matter expertise in Microsoft licensing with understanding of the negotiation process, software and cloud services market trends, the global landscape, and reseller ecosystem
- Experience with software license compliance risk assessment, management, and/or mitigation in a software audit context, particularly with Microsoft, is desired
- Experience with other major vendors (e.g., AWS, Google, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or ServiceNow) is desired
- Executive presence with the ability to quickly establish credibility with senior stakeholders
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with comfort delivering engaging presentations to diverse audiences
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to produce high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines

• The Testing and Deployment/Cutover Lead will drive end-to-end go-live readiness for global Request to Pay (RTP) implementations. • You will own testing governance and deployment readiness, and lead cutover planning and execution to enable a stable transition to operations. • Partner with Finance, IT, Purchasing and impacted business stakeholders to drive integrated test and go-live plans. • Manage cross-workstream dependencies, and mitigate risks to ensure successful system launches. • Own and maintain integrated deployment plans across multiple waves and cutover runbooks. • Lead cutover planning workshops and governance; define decision points, capture activities/owners/timing, and drive stakeholder sign-offs across workstreams. • Coordinate end-to-end cutover readiness activities (process, data, security/roles) and maintain readiness scorecards for leadership review. • Lead cutover execution for the RTP workstream and partner with the PMO on the integrated master schedule, status reporting, issue triage, decision escalation, and go/no-go recommendations.
• Manage end-to-end contract operations, from staging quotes to drafting custom terms and conditions, order booking and reconciliation • Audit orders for accuracy, completeness, required approvals, ACV, and recurring revenue • Track non-standard and custom terms across the deal lifecycle • Advise sales on deal structure and discounting to arrive at quality, approvable outcomes • Act as a true partner to sales — triaging deals, minimizing wasted effort, and moving the right opportunities forward • Drive best practices across the contracts process and document new or updated procedures proactively • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across functions, acting as an advisor rather than a gatekeeper.
• Build and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts and national/state-level supply plans across all platforms (wholesale, DTC, and retail) • Collaborate with the Director of Demand Planning to ensure forecasted supply plans are achievable and to prevent shortages or inventory cuts • Monitor Days on Hand (DOH) and supply plan health by SKU, flagging shortage or overstock risk before it impacts fulfillment • Track forecast vs. actual variance and adjust supply plans accordingly • Reconcile production POs issued to co-manufacturers against the supply plan and production schedule, flagging discrepancies for resolution • Collaborate with the Product team to obtain timely co-manufacturer inventory reports, ensuring supply plans and ERP records stay accurate and up to date • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team on supply plan adjustments needed due to raw material or packaging availability • Generate shipment plans from co-manufacturers to 3PLs, in line with Product's clear-to-ship protocols, to keep all revenue channels (wholesale, DTC, retail) adequately stocked • Ensure both the 3PL OMS and ERP platform are updated and reflect accurate inventory allocation by node • Partner with the Logistics Specialist to align shipment plans with rate shopping to keep costs down • Assist the Logistics Manager and Demand Planner with KPI logging and reporting • Review demand and supply planning data to identify and eliminate redundant processes, improving forecasting accuracy and efficiency
