Job Description
Public Sector Marketing Manager
Elastic
Role Description Elastic is hiring a Regional Marketing Manager to own and grow our State, Local & Education (SLED) business through targeted, high-impact marketing programs. You'll sit at the intersection of field sales and marketing — building campaigns that drive real pipeline, not just activity. This is a hands-on role. You'll design and run your own programs — field events, executive dinners, partner activations, content campaigns — while working closely with a field sales team that depends on you to move deals forward. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment, love the details, and know the SLED market, this is the role for you. What you'll do - Own regional demand generation for SLED — from strategy through execution — across field events, account-based programs, trade shows, content syndication, and partner conferences - Partner daily with field sales and solution architects to align programs to pipeline goals and SLED buying cycles - Build and manage GTM programs with cross-functional teams including partner marketing, digital, campaigns, finance, and operations - Set goals and metrics for every program and track performance through weekly reports and monthly dashboards - Develop event content, agendas, and presentations in collaboration with stakeholders across the business - Manage multiple programs simultaneously, keeping everything on time and on budget - Identify and test new tactics and channels to expand reach and improve efficiency - Travel to programs and events approximately 25% of the time Qualifications - Proven regional or field marketing experience with deep knowledge of the SLED market and its buying dynamics - A track record of building programs that generate pipeline, not just leads - Strong project management instincts — you run lists, keep notes, and nothing falls through the cracks - Proficiency with marketing tools including Salesforce, Marketo, Splash, and Monday.com - Clear, compelling communication skills — written and verbal - Comfort working cross-functionally and independently in a fast-scaling environment - An ambitious, collaborative attitude and a genuine bias toward getting things done Requirements - Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. - The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is $106,900 — $169,100 USD. - The typical starting salary range for this role in select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area) is $128,200 — $202,700 USD. Benefits - Competitive pay based on the work you do here and not your previous salary - Health coverage for you and your family in many locations - Ability to craft your calendar with flexible locations and schedules for many roles - Generous number of vacation days each year - Increase your impact - We match up to $2000 (or local currency equivalent) for financial donations and service - Up to 40 hours each year to use toward volunteer projects you love - Embracing parenthood with a minimum of 16 weeks of parental leave

Role Description This role administers Marketo and builds automated campaigns, emails, landing pages, and forms across channels, pulling target lists from 6Sense using firmographic, behavioral, and intent data. You'll set the standards for campaign structure, triggers, and filters, then audit existing logic to keep it accurate and scalable. You'll troubleshoot sync failures and data discrepancies at the root cause rather than patching symptoms, and flag problems before you're asked, fixing them and explaining what happened in plain English to whoever needs to know. Key Responsibilities - Administer Adobe Marketo Engage instance. - Define and govern the standards for smart campaign structure, triggers, filters, and flow logic; audit existing logic for accuracy and efficiency. - Review campaigns and workflows, identify gaps, and provide stable and scalable solutions. - Build globally accepted automated campaigns, emails, landing pages, and forms, while maintaining governance and compliance for multiple regions. - Monitor deliverability, bounces, unsubscribe, and list hygiene. - Work with Growth Marketing Managers to create and execute campaigns. - Be the first line of defense for Marketo system support. - Build and manage segments in 6Sense using firmographic, behavioral, and intent data; maintain segment logic as the data model evolves. - Monitor intent signal quality and platform health; troubleshoot sync failures and data discrepancies at root cause level. - Understand lead and contact management, campaign influence, and pipeline reporting well enough to diagnose where data breaks down. - Identify and resolve CRM-side issues that affect marketing platform performance: duplicate records, missing fields, broken workflow rules. - Communicate platform issues and resolutions proactively, flag problems early, provide status updates, and close the loop without being asked. - Translate complex system behavior into plain language for marketing, sales, and senior stakeholders when required. Compliance - Ensure all platform configurations and campaign deployments comply with anti-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, and applicable local legislative requirements. - Adhere to Nearmap values, policies, and the corporate Code of Conduct. - Comply with obligations applicable to employees of an ASX-listed public company. Qualifications - 5 years of experience in Marketo Engage: experience setting up complex multi-series automated campaigns that leverage filters, triggers, and segments instance and workspace configuration, and the ability to define best-practice standards. - Hands-on 6Sense experience or similar such as Demandbase, using predictive, data workflows, and segment modules. - Hands-on working knowledge of Salesforce CRM: field mappings, lead and contact management, campaign influence, and data flow into and out of marketing platforms. - Understanding API dependencies, sync logic, webhooks, and field mapping at a configuration level. - Ability to diagnose and resolve problems, i.e. data issues, process issues, often without a clear playbook. - Understanding of MQL, MQA, SQL, and SAL funnel stages and how they are operationalised in Marketo and Salesforce. - Experience with HTML/CSS for emails and landing pages. - Experience with CMS platforms such as Storyblok or WordPress. - You use AI to create workflows that simplify campaign builds, eliminating manual processes to reduce time from brief to built. Skills - Strong analytical thinking: comfortable working through data discrepancies, sync failures, and unpredictable system behavior methodically. - Clear written and verbal communication: able to write a precise incident summary as readily as a plain-English explanation for a non-technical stakeholder. - Organized and proactive: flags issues before they become problems, keeps documentation current, and closes loops without being chased. - Practical knowledge of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar): uses them to improve workflow efficiency, analyze data, and accelerate platform problem-solving. Personal Attributes - Genuine passion for platforms and data, you care whether systems are in good shape, not just whether they appear to be running. - Hyper attention to detail: a misconfigured filter has real downstream consequences to pipeline. - Comfortable in ambiguity: can diagnose complex problems without a clear playbook and document the solution. - Ownership mentality: you treat your platforms as your own and don't wait to be asked to fix what you can see is broken. - Collaborative and direct: works well with technical and non-technical colleagues and does not overcomplicate communication. Benefits - 4 extra "YOU" days off each year—take a break, no questions asked! - Company-sponsored volunteering days to give back. - Generous parental leave policies for growing families. - Work from Overseas Policy—explore the world in the approved list of cities while you work! - Access to LinkedIn Learning for continuous growth. - Discounted Private Health Insurance plans. - Monthly wellbeing and technology allowance. - A Nearmap subscription (naturally!).
