Role Description The Vice President (VP), ERT is a senior leadership role focused on organizational strategy as well as policy and technical positioning of ACR and ART in global compliance and voluntary carbon markets. - Lead and coordinate across ACR and ART to ensure cohesive policy and technical approaches for MRV and market interface. - Maintain a strong functional understanding of: - ACR Standard - STEPS - TREES - California and Washington regulations - Article 6 - CORSIA - ICVCM - Relevant international market frameworks - Track policy developments and technological advancements to lead the continued growth and innovation of ERT’s crediting programs. - Ensure integrity of issued credits through strong governance and transparency. - Enhance collaborations with strategic partners and bring visibility to organizational thought leadership through participation in policy and technical forums. Qualifications - Required Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Natural Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Policy or related field. Master’s degree preferred. - 14 years of broad-based senior management experience in the nonprofit, government or private sector focused on climate policy and carbon markets. Additional years of experience preferred. - Experience working collaboratively with boards and advisory committees. - Demonstrated experience in management of organizational and financial operations. - Experience leading organizations or significant programs through periods of growth and transition. - Extensive personnel management experience with a demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate team members. - Ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and guide investments in people and systems. - Strong interpersonal skills, impeccable integrity and trustworthiness. - Deep technical expertise in climate change science and policy, GHG accounting and carbon markets. - Proficiency in the full MS Office suite required. - Strong technical writing skills required. - Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Additional languages desirable. Requirements - Must be available to travel for short-term assignments. - Must be authorized to work in the United States. - Commitment to Winrock’s mission and interest in market-based approaches to reducing GHG emissions required. Benefits - Salary Range: $250,000–$300,000. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
