Job Description

Senior Regional Sales Director – DC/MD/VA/PA

William Blair

• Lead sales and client service initiatives for William Blair’s Investment Management strategies • Advise management of competitive landscape and client base trends • Collaborate with the Head of Intermediary Distribution to set sales goals and objectives • Maintain extensive visibility and contacts outside of William Blair • Foster relationships with key financial intermediaries • Generate sales through the direct calling program • Develop and maintain deep expertise of all investments • Serve as a technical resource to others • Guide and mentor Regional Associates and Regional Directors • Create, maintain and deliver client presentations • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of client meetings and calling activity • Additional responsibilities as requested.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Finance required
  • 8+ years of investment product sales required
  • SIE Exam, Series 7 and Series 66 (or Series 63 and Series 65) licenses required or must be obtained within 90 days of start
  • MBA, CFA, CFP, CAIA, CIMA preferred
  • Strong sales and presentation skills
  • Deep understanding of investment products and how to position them for maximum effectiveness with different audiences
  • High degree of energy, motivation and ability to set own priorities
  • Sustained superior sales production record
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships with others to achieve objectives
  • Ability to provide coaching and guidance to less experienced team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
