Role Description We are seeking a Supply Chain Auditor in our Food and Nutrition Division. This position is responsible for providing audit services within the Supply Chain Food Safety business unit, evaluating assigned suppliers’ compliance with relevant standards and pre-determined criteria for food safety and quality, producing reports detailing audit findings, and communicating those results to the supplier as well as NSF team members. - Schedule and conduct the full range of assigned Food Safety & Quality audits. - Conduct special supplier visits to investigate product failures and verify the implementation of corrective actions. - Develop effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits. - Establish and maintain effective communication with program representatives and project managers regarding client-specific concerns affecting plants assigned to the auditor. - Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree. - Five (5) years food processing experience (food plant experience in a responsible position related to food safety). - Qualified as a consultant or auditor in at least one of the GFSI benchmarked standards (ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, SQF, BRC, and/or Global GAP). - In-depth working knowledge of the manufacture of food and allied products. - Ability to perform audits in more than one program area and/or ability to train auditors. - Ability to work independently from a remote location. - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). - Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally. - Ability to maintain a valid and current passport. - Proficient with Microsoft Office software, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Company Description With a legacy spanning more than 80 years, NSF leverages science and innovation to improve human and planet health.
