Flex HR
• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, S-Corporation, trust, and nonprofit tax returns • Prepare amended federal and state tax returns • Analyze tax documents and financial records for accuracy and completeness • Ensure timely filing and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations • Review tax returns for planning opportunities and potential savings • Respond to IRS and state tax notices • Communicate with taxing authorities on behalf of clients • Prepare and manage Power of Attorney (POA) authorizations • Assist clients with audits, compliance matters, and account resolution • Support tax planning projects for business owners and high-income individuals • Assist with entity structure evaluations and tax optimization strategies • Participate in tax summary meetings and client advisory sessions • Research tax issues and provide documented recommendations • Communicate professionally with clients regarding requests, tax notices, and project updates • Gather and organize client documentation through TaxDome • Maintain detailed project notes and documentation • Coordinate with internal Accounting, Advisory, and Operations teams
Job Requirements
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) designation
- Minimum 3 years of tax preparation and tax resolution experience
- Experience preparing: Form 1040, Form 1120-S, Form 1065, Form 1120, Multi-state tax returns
- Experience handling IRS notices and taxpayer correspondence
- Strong understanding of federal tax law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience using TaxDome or similar practice management software is a plus
