Role Description The Carrier Operations Representative will collaborate closely with Carrier Sales Representatives to ensure smooth and timely service for both the company’s customers and carriers. This role supports high-volume sales operations by managing critical shipment information, monitoring carrier communications, and addressing issues proactively. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to grow within the transportation industry. Key Responsibilities: - Shipment Tracking & Documentation: - Accurately update and document shipment statuses in internal systems. - Monitor carrier performance to ensure timely deliveries and resolve mid-transit issues according to company SOPs. - Communication & Escalations: - Contact carriers to obtain time-sensitive updates and log information appropriately. - Manage team email, responding to both internal and external requests in a timely manner. - Proactively identify and communicate issues to relevant teams for quick resolution. - Support Carrier Sales Operations: - Assist Carrier Sales Representatives by ensuring smooth operations across their book of business. - Collaborate with internal departments and maintain a professional attitude while working under pressure. - Continuous Learning & Improvement: - Stay informed about industry trends, including seasonal and geographic freight dynamics. - Be open to learning and mastering the company’s proprietary technology and systems. - Team Contribution: - Maintain a positive attitude, exhibit a strong work ethic, and contribute to team success. - Support co-workers and management by fostering a collaborative work environment. Qualifications - Previous experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics coordination on the US market. - Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and influence others. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software. - Proven ability to build productive internal and external partnerships. - Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments. - Comfortable handling multiple tasks and using technology efficiently. - Willingness to learn about freight markets, carrier types, and transportation trends. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English. - Highly detail-oriented and accurate in work. - Able to work confidently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
