Conveyancing Paralegal

• Assist with the preparation and review of conveyancing documents, including contracts of sale, transfer documents, and settlement statements. • Conduct title searches, property searches, and due diligence to support property transactions. • Manage file setup, document organization, and case management to ensure accurate record keeping. • Liaise with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders throughout the conveyancing process. • Assist with the preparation of settlement documents and coordinate settlement timelines. • Draft correspondence and maintain communication with clients regarding transaction updates. • Support the legal team with compliance checks and document reviews related to property matters. • Maintain and update information in legal practice management systems such as Smokeball. • Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with UK conveyancing procedures and timelines.
Job Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as a Conveyancer, Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a similar legal support role.
- Experience supporting UK legal practices is required.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Familiarity with legal practice management software (e.g., LEAP Legal, Smokeball, Clio, Actionstep, MyCase, InfoTrack, PEXA or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive legal information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Experience in a remote working environment is a plus.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones as needed.
