Role Description Vestis is seeking a Director of Compliance to help manage and further mature the company’s ethics and compliance program. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, this role will support compliance governance, risk assessment, policies and procedures, training and communications, hotline and investigation processes, monitoring and auditing, and reporting to senior leadership and the Audit Committee. The successful candidate will bring strong judgment, practical business orientation, and the ability to translate compliance requirements into clear, field-focused processes that can be implemented consistently across the organization. Responsibilities/Essential Functions - Support the Chief Compliance Officer in managing and continuously improving Vestis’s ethics and compliance program across key risk areas, including business conduct, anti-corruption, hotline reporting, investigations, regulatory compliance, training, monitoring, and governance. - Help translate compliance requirements into practical policies, procedures, controls, training, communications, and field-level processes that can be implemented consistently across Vestis’s operating model. - Draft, revise, and implement company policies, procedures, guidance documents, job aids, and compliance communications in clear, business-friendly language. - Support the design and implementation of compliance training and communications, including annual compliance training, targeted risk-based training, leadership messaging, and field-facing materials. - Manage intake, triage, assignment, documentation, and closure of hotline and other reported concerns, working with Legal, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and other functions as appropriate. - Support consistent investigation processes, case documentation, corrective action tracking, remediation, discipline coordination, and reporting of trends or recurring issues. - Partner with Internal Audit and functional leaders to support compliance monitoring, testing, audits, and follow-up on corrective actions. - Support the Compliance Committee structure, including meeting preparation, agendas, materials, minutes, follow-up items, owner coordination, and recurring reporting across compliance program areas. - Coordinate with compliance program owners and subject matter experts to maintain a clear view of applicable regulatory, industry, customer, and internal policy requirements and related ownership. - Participate in compliance risk assessment processes, including identifying key requirements, assessing current controls, ranking risk exposure, documenting evidence, and recommending practical improvements. - Develop executive-ready reporting, dashboards, presentations, and summaries for the Chief Compliance Officer, senior leadership, Compliance Committee, Investigations Committee, and Audit Committee. - Use data, metrics, and trend analysis to identify emerging compliance risks, recurring issues, training needs, control gaps, and opportunities to strengthen program effectiveness. - Represent the compliance team in cross-functional meetings and build strong relationships with field leadership, corporate functions, and operational stakeholders. - Support ESG initiatives and projects. - Support other central compliance team projects and initiatives as assigned. - This position may be remote, with occasional travel for in-person meetings, site visits, training, or compliance program support. Expected travel is approximately 5–10%. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree required. - Five or more years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, audit, investigations, risk management, operations, human resources, or a related field. - Experience supporting a corporate compliance program, hotline/investigation process, policy program, risk assessment process, training program, audit/monitoring activity, or related governance process preferred. - Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills required. - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required; experience preparing executive-level dashboards, reports, or presentations preferred.
