Job Description

Lead Strategy Consultant

Propellic

Role Description As Lead Strategy Consultant, you're the reason clients hire us, pay a premium, and never want to leave. You're the thinking that turns Propellic from a vendor executing tasks into a partner shaping the client's business. You parachute in at the moments that matter: onboarding, quarterly strategy, and replanning, with insight worth paying a premium for. You won't manage the day-to-day relationship (that's the Account Manager) and you won't run recurring delivery (that's the PMO and delivery teams). Your job is the thinking that comes before and around both. If you'd rather set the direction than execute against someone else's, turn a single sharp insight into a reusable asset instead of a one-off deck, and want your strategic point of view to become market authority, we want to talk. Key Responsibilities - Set the North Star and strategic plan for every new client in their first month. - Lead quarterly strategy sessions and replanning for ongoing accounts, arming the Account Manager with the “so what” insight ahead of client reporting. - Share a regular read on market trends and what's working across the book with the wider delivery team. - Turn a one-off insight into a framework or playbook the rest of the firm can reuse, not just a polished deck for one client. - Publish thought leadership that builds market authority. - Sell and defend strategy as its own priced offering, tying every recommendation to the client's revenue and North Star. What Success Looks Like - Strategies you set actually hit the numbers you forecast, not just look good in a deck. - Every new client leaves onboarding with a real North Star and plan, not a placeholder. - Ongoing accounts get real strategic thinking on a steady cadence, not just a report. - Your thinking shows up as reusable methodology and content the rest of the firm can point to. - Your commitments land on schedule and hold up under scrutiny, without rework or last-minute scrambles. Qualifications - 8+ years in strategy, consulting, or a related senior advisory capacity. - AI adoption: You've built repeatable AI workflows that replace manual steps in your own process, not just faster one-off outputs. - Strategy that survives execution: your plans produce results, not just good decks. - Executive presence: you sell and defend your recommendations, and clients follow your thinking rather than dictate it. - Every recommendation you make ties back to the client's revenue and North Star. - You productize your thinking into reusable IP, documented well enough to run without you. - Deep in travel, and current on SEO/GEO/AI-search shifts and the broader marketing landscape. Benefits - Remote-first flexibility with a high-performing global team. - Medical, dental, and vision plans + 5% 401(k) match (US employees). Similar benefits for Canadian employees. - Generous PTO, company holidays, and an annual week-long destination company retreat. - A company-supplied Macbook. - Wellhub or similar benefits for company-subsidized wellness/gym access. - Annual budget for professional development and industry conferences. - A culture that values experimentation, autonomy, and radical candor. Work Requirements - Reliable high-speed internet and comfort with virtual collaboration tools. - Availability for core work hours around 9a-5p U.S. Central Time. - Reasonable accommodations provided for qualified individuals with disabilities. Application Process - Initial screening interview. - Career-history interview. - CEO Interview. - Reference Checks.

Essential Responsibilities: - Manage, coach, and develop a team of pilot support consultants (with an initial team of approximately 6, growing over time), serving as their primary resource for training, guidance, and performance feedback. - Oversee and coordinate the scheduling of consultants across regional territories, ensuring that pilots are appropriately staffed, timelines are met, and all logistics are organized and communicated clearly. - Travel into the field to accompany consultants on school and teacher visits, actively modeling best practices for pilot facilitation, educator engagement, and product support. - Conduct regular check-ins with consultants to monitor progress, ensure quality of delivery, address challenges, and reinforce training and expectations. - Provide direct pilot support in the field as capacity allows, serving as a hands-on contributor alongside the consultant team during active pilot engagements. - Partner with the District Manager to recruit, interview, and hire new pilot support consultants as the team scales. - Collaborate with the CA Field Marketing team to develop and refine pilot support content, including teacher-facing communications and resources used throughout the pilot journey. Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience managing or mentoring a team of consultants, professional learning specialists, or field-based education professionals. - Familiarity with K–12 curriculum adoption processes and the school/district purchasing cycle. - Experience collaborating with marketing or content development teams on educator-facing materials. - Background as a Professional Learning Specialist (PLS) or in a similar school/district-facing instructional coaching role. - Experience working in a fast-growing or entrepreneurial team environment where priorities shift and adaptability is essential.
