• The selected candidate will play a key role in driving the strategy to achieve our SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) framework: • Perform sourcing strategies to analyze, execute and follow-up on POs (Purchase Orders) for planned/ forced outages, inventory, and critical requests. • Manage orders with dedicated suppliers according to GE policies and sustain their business relationships. • Meet the best contractual conditions, manage commercial problems, and schedule changes while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. • Support commercial supplier on-boarding, and work with Supplier Quality for product qualification. • Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction. • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks (e.g. finding alternative materials, meeting Project timelines, Cost outs, and so on). • Assist during supplier performance reviews, and advise functional managers regarding projects, processes, and procedures. • Seek continuous improvement and contribute to projects as a team member, lead and/or adopt best practices. • Develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge.
Job Requirements
- Engineering or bachelor’s degree on Supply Chain, Business or Project Management from a college or university or 3+ years of experience in managing supply chain activities.
- Strong oral and written English language skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Utilizes knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Having initiative to apply new ways of resolution.
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks (e.g. finding alternative materials, meeting Project timelines, Cost outs, and so on).
- Experience with SAP ERP is preferred.
