Billing Specialist

Integrated Openings Solutions

The Billing Specialist plays a pivotal role in overseeing the billing and collection process for projects. This role interacts heavily with internal project managers and sales specialists, and the client/general contractor/owner. The Billing Specialist is a key member of the team, contributing significantly to the financial success of each project. Corporate level SME for billed contract orders. Work closely with internal partners to ensure data and process flow integrity is maintained in the ERP system. Coordinate the completion of pay applications and associated billing and other supporting documents as appropriate. Capture and track metrics for projects in progress. Maintain reporting for contract bonding process. Various other accounting and reporting projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the construction accounting field.
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude and a quick learner.
  • Proficient with MS Excel and Outlook.
  • ERP experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to keep client and company matters and information strictly confidential.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
