Performance Test Engineer

Role Description We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer with expertise in JMeter to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure our applications meet high standards of scalability, reliability, and responsiveness. You will collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless system performance in production-like environments. - Design and implement robust performance test strategies using JMeter tailored to application requirements. - Develop, maintain, and optimize performance test scripts for web and API-based applications. - Execute various types of performance tests, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests. - Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions. - Work closely with development, DevOps, and QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues. - Monitor system performance using tools such as Grafana, InfluxDB, New Relic, or Dynatrace. - Create comprehensive performance test reports and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. - Continuously enhance performance testing processes, tools, and frameworks to ensure better test coverage and efficiency. Qualifications - Strong hands-on experience with JMeter for performance testing. - Proven experience in executing load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests. - Solid understanding of web protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, REST, SOAP) and API testing. - Experience analyzing system metrics and troubleshooting performance issues. - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana, InfluxDB, New Relic, or Dynatrace. - Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams (development, DevOps, QA). - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication skills to present technical findings to stakeholders.
