Account Specialist, Spasticity and Movement Disorder
AbbVie
• Promote a product to meet/exceed sales goals in community/private practices as well as hospitals/health systems. • Identify/uncover customer needs (training, clinical, operational, reimbursement) and address with appropriate AbbVie resources. • Provide education and clinical/injection training for residents, fellows, and other key hospital personnel. • Expert delivery of anatomical/procedural information and training, including the appropriate use of anatomical terminology to train injection paradigms/postures while highlighting various anatomical and injection insights and considerations. • Effectively utilize AbbVie's sales and data resources to enhance productivity and growth of AbbVie products while implementing U.S. Marketing Plan. • Collaborate with other Account Specialist to promote the product for approved indications and execute individual, department, or group resident/fellow trainings within hospital/health system accounts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is at least five (5) years of technical experience with three (3) or more years of experience within sales preferred and a high school diploma/GED required
- Experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy products is preferred, in both health systems and private practice
- Ability to lift/pull 25–100 lb. training models and meet necessary hospital credentialing/vaccination requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to travel adequately to cover territory, as well as overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings
- Documented history of strong sales performance, preferably in a clinical/technical/consultative sales role with multiple decision makers is preferred.
- Ability to manage a complex sell, learn procedural, technical, clinical, and anatomical information quickly and communicate/present/train to a variety of audiences.

• Effectively manage all mailouts within MRO Clinics CarePortal to ensure efficient releases of information. • Ensure recipient information is accurate and complete on each mailout to be released. • Release medical records/imaging/forms in the appropriate medium (paper or electronic) based on MRO Clinics policies/procedures and/or requester's preference. • Coordinate with courier services to schedule pickup of packages, when applicable. • Coordinate with notaries for certifications prior to release, when applicable. • Manage and distribute incoming records requests received through email/online submission, as well as MRO Clinics main fax line. • Provide accurate and timely status updates to requesters inquiring through email or by phone. • Provide assistance to patient/requester walk-ins, and coordinate with Account Managers as needed to handle any necessary STAT requests or questions. • Pull and/or burn imaging records to CD/DVD for release via mail or patient pickup. • Monitor office supply inventory, and request additional supplies when needed. • Escalate issues and/or errors found to department leaders as necessary.
• Collaborates in the review and evaluation of delinquent, high risk, or written-off accounts • Understands customer needs and provides collections-related sales and service • Advises customers on payment strategies and products that meet their objectives • Delivers exceptional customer service that builds trust through expertise • Develops rapport and instills confidence with clients • Executes established loss mitigation processes for resolution of non-performing and high risk accounts
• Responsible for a specific geographic territory and the successful promotion and growth of Neurocrine products. • Manages and develops long-term relationships with physicians and other customers for targeted accounts in their assigned territory • Represent Neurocrine brand(s) and their approved indications. • Educate external customers such as physicians, nurses, medical assistants, case managers, etc. about the benefits of our product(s). • Drives product acceptance and growth through targeted education and strategic account management. • Executes territory sales strategies to meet or exceed objectives via in-person and virtual communications. • Identifies and addresses territory-specific opportunities and barriers to product success. • Effectively manages promotional resources and budget. • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare providers, clinical staff, key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, community mental health clinics and long term care facilities, local/regional payers and pharmacies.
