Role Description 11:11 seeks a skilled Network Engineer, Cloud Integrations to help customers implement their services in 11:11’s global cloud infrastructure team in Service Operations team. The ideal candidate has deep experience as a Cisco network engineer and is passionate about designing, deploying, and troubleshooting secure, highly available network solutions in cloud and data center environments. This role is critical to delivering reliable connectivity and a high-quality customer experience during migrations and ongoing operations across 11:11’s cloud platforms. This is a full-time remote role, based in the United States reporting to the Manager, Service Operations. - Act as the primary networking deployment engineer responsible for customer experience during datacenter and customer migration efforts into 11:11’s cloud environment. - Design and architect network topologies for diverse customer environments, aligning with 11:11’s cloud architecture standards and security best practices. - Deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking configurations, including switches, firewalls, load balancers, and IPSEC VPNs for customer deployments. - Collaborate with project managers, Cloud Integration engineers, support teams, and account executives to plan and deliver successful customer implementations. - Perform detailed customer assessments to understand networking requirements and translate them into scalable, supportable designs in 11:11’s global infrastructure. - Document work thoroughly in the company ticketing system and create/maintain up-to-date documentation in the knowledge base. - Develop and maintain standardized deployment processes and runbooks as technologies, tools, and permissions change. - Assist Cloud Integration engineers, support teams, and account executives with advanced customer issues, including escalations that require deep network troubleshooting. - Pursue advanced certifications and stay abreast of current technologies in the Juniper/Fortigate/Palo Alto/Cisco/VMware product space to continually enhance service quality. - Ability to automate processes and builds where possible to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency in Service Operations. - Able to work after hours and on weekends as required to support customer migrations, changes, and incident response. - Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11's Code of Business Ethics and Company Values. - Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies. - Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgements. - Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or University degree in a related field of study, or equivalent years of related work experience. - 5+ years of recent experience as a technical, hands-on Cisco network engineer in enterprise or service provider environments. - Cisco CCNP/CCIE certification with documented work experience is preferred. - Strong working knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including BGP, IPsec, network segmentation, VRFs, switching, VLANs, and load balancers (required). - Experience with virtualization clusters (VMware) and software-defined networking, including VMware NSX, is preferred. - Experience working within a global data center and/or cloud environment. - Experience deploying virtual and physical network appliances in cloud environments, preferably including Cisco, Fortigate, Palo Alto, Netscaler, Kemp, F5, SonicWall, and Juniper Networks. - Professional experience in consulting or other enterprise customer-facing technical support role is preferred. - Ability to automate network deployments and configurations (e.g., scripting, infrastructure-as-code tools) to reduce manual effort and improve consistency. Role Description The Technology Engineer will focus on the network and connectivity layer of a Non-VMware private cloud platform within the FCI Service Family, based on SUSE and KVM virtualization. The role is primarily responsible as engineering support for Software-Defined Networking (SDN) capabilities, enabling secure multi-tenant communication, segmentation, and integration with enterprise network standards. The engineer will ensure that network architecture, routing, and security controls are properly implemented across the private cloud stack and integrated with compute and storage components. - Design and implement a SUSE-based virtualization platform using KVM as the hypervisor. - Define standard VM blueprints (CPU, RAM, storage, network) for SAP and non-SAP workloads. - Implement Software-Defined Networking (SDN, OpenNebula) for flexible tenant isolation, micro-segmentation, and multi-tenant support. - Define security zones, firewall rules, and routing patterns aligned with SAP and enterprise requirements. - Development of high level and low level documents for the respective area (Compute, Storage, Network, Container, Orchestration). - Integration of new platform components into the existing integration points / standard technologies (such as AdminLan, etc.). - Enable request, change, and incident workflows that trigger automation (Terraform/Ansible) and update CMDB where needed. - Maintain a living architecture document covering all layers: compute, storage, network, automation, observability, integrations. - Open Source software define network knowledge (preferably Nebula or any other).
