Role Description The Senior Director of NPI and Operations for the Plastics Business Unit will focus on successfully ramping new products into the plastics business unit and transferring D&D projects into operations. The Senior Director will have P&L responsibility for the commercial products in the Fremont location and future D&D transfer products into the plastics business unit. - Lead the Fremont D&D operations team to achieve and exceed key process indicators, including but not limited to service, quality, margin, and operational efficiency. - Own P&L responsibility for the Fremont D&D operations team, ensuring financial targets are met and revenue is achieved. - Develop, improve, and execute a robust new production introduction strategy in collaboration with the Viant D&D organization. - Work directly with the Vice President of Operations to support the plastics business unit vital few tactics and business unit initiatives. - Provide customer support, clear communication, and be a point of escalation. - Develop financial and costing knowledge to review customer quotes and proposals. - Oversee and manage the portfolio of new product introductions for the plastics business unit, remediating project issues and prioritization at manufacturing locations. - Drive project timelines to achieve financial success for projects/transfers. - Partner with commercial, operations, and supply chain leaders to optimize launch execution, resource allocation, and operational performance for products/projects. - Oversee specialized, complex technical and strategic projects to operations. - Communicate complex ideas succinctly, anticipating objections and persuading internal and external stakeholders. - Lead solution development and risk mitigation efforts, ensuring effective execution and stakeholder communication. Qualifications - 10–15+ years of program management experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role. - Expertise in strategic program management, standardization, and oversight of multiple projects. - Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. - Demonstrated experience with complex technical and strategic projects. - Ability to work autonomously, with goals communicated in solution or result terms. - Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to persuade and coach others. - Strong problem-solving and risk mitigation skills. - Strong internal and external customer relations. - Validations knowledge preferred. - Experience managing P&L for a business unit or product line, preferably in a launch or commercialization context. - Experience with organizational change management and campus consolidation is a plus. Requirements - BS in Business or a technical discipline (Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Biomedical Science) required. - MBA or Master’s in Program Management preferred. - PMP certification through PMI or completion of a Master’s in Program Management through an accredited university preferred. - Purchasing authority up to approved program financials. - Willingness and ability to travel approximately 2 weeks per month. The Foundation Relations Associate collaborates with the Director of Foundation Relations to manage all aspects of prospecting, cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation of private foundations in regional markets and nationally. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - With guidance from the Director, manages a portfolio of approximately 30 foundation donors (varying in capacity from $5,000 to $50,000) through all phases of the foundation relationship cycle, including identification to stewardship. - Represents No Kid Hungry in external-facing meetings with foundation donors and prospects, both independently and in collaboration with the Director. - Leads the writing and editing of grant proposals and reports for grants up to $50,000; co-writes and edits grant proposals and reports in collaboration with the Director, donor services, and program teams for grants exceeding $50,000. - Coordinates with program operations and finance teams to ensure we have the most up-to-date state- and project-specific language for proposals, reports, and other outreach. - Actively prospects and/or qualifies prospects through research for giving potential and organizational alignment. - Ensures appropriate stewardship and recognition in connection with grants. Assists Director of Foundation Relations in stewardship touches, including custom written materials, event invitations, articles, organizational updates, etc. - Manages the grant calendar and ensures all deadlines are recorded. - Works with Finance team on getting grant agreements signed and executed. - Work closely with the Director of Foundation Relations and Resource Development and Growth colleagues to develop meaningful engagement opportunities. - Coordinate communications, invitations, and track RSVPS, for all special events virtual or live. - Review and maintain the foundation teams records in Raisers Edge, which includes updating information on gifts, contacts, and campaigns, as well as generating reports and contact lists.
