• Support commercial teams to identify and mitigate contractual risk at tender stage with particular focus on scope definition, schedule commitment, guarantees, liquidated damages, change provisions, financial securities and notice provisions. • Lead the administration of assigned project contracts, ensuring with the project manager that all obligations are fulfilled and all issues are resolved. • Highlight obligations of each project stakeholder to support elaboration of GE Vernova’s project execution strategy. • Draft commercially sensitive correspondence and ensuring timely issuance of notifications and correspondence to preserve GE Vernova's rights. • Maintain contemporaneous project records in collaboration with cross-functional teams and ensure that reporting tools are kept up to date. • Manage change orders, variations and claims proactively to achieve good project outcomes in a timely manner. • Participate in project reviews, advise on contract interpretation and interface with legal teams as needed during project execution and dispute resolution. • Lead insurance claim recoveries • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues, sharing best practices and helping build contract management capability across project and functional teams. • Propose practical solutions to complex day-to-day contractual issues, using analytical thinking and both internal and external sources to reach well-reasoned decisions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Significant experience in project and contract management
- Advanced knowledge of contract management practice, with the ability to integrate across related disciplines and apply that knowledge across all phases of project delivery
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple workstreams within a complex matrix organization
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, including communicating expectations clearly and navigating sensitive commercial situations with professionalism and customer focus.
- Experience in preparation and negotiation of large-value construction claims (preferred)
- Familiarity with formal dispute resolution processes and litigation support (preferred)
- Practical experience in schedule and delay analysis (preferred)
