Job Description

Site Manager – Construction Manager, Substation Projects

Switzerland Global Enterprise

• You will lead our on-site activities for our 110/400 kV substation projects. • You are our on-site representative, the point of contact for our client, and you coordinate your site team as well as our subcontractors for construction and installation services. • Planning and coordination of all work on site while ensuring compliance with applicable occupational health, environmental and safety regulations, and contributing to the preparation of work and safety instructions. • Management of all site activities, including directing subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations. • Point of contact for our client and leader of site meetings. • Monitoring quality, costs and schedules during construction and reporting accordingly to project management. • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities related to installation activities and reporting these to project management.

Job Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in electrical engineering with several years of professional experience; further qualification as a technician or master craftsman is preferable.
  • Experience as a site manager in substation projects or comparable projects, e.g., oil & gas, power plants, or in the installation of high-voltage components is desirable.
  • Strong health and safety (EHS) awareness according to international standards; ability to identify and stop unsafe work is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and leadership skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to provide clear reporting.
  • Lean mindset: openness to further training, new tools and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel for work within Germany and the Netherlands.
  • Fluent German, both written and spoken; English skills are an advantage.
  • Driving license class B.
