Job Description
Senior Talent Sourcer
Carta Healthcare
Role Description This is a hands-on sourcing role focused on high-volume and niche sourcing for Clinical Data Abstractors and Nurses. You’ll do the work directly: identifying candidates, building targeted searches, reaching out creatively, screening prospects, and helping move strong candidates through the process. Your sourcing experience will sharpen our outreach, but your primary focus is actively sourcing a high volume of qualified candidates yourself, especially for hard-to-fill clinical data abstraction roles. We’re a data company, and great recruiting here is informed by data too. You’ll use funnel analytics (candidate availability, outreach effectiveness, conversion rates) to see what’s working, what’s not, and where to focus next. We need a creative talent scout who loves the thrill of the hunt, finds candidates others miss, and takes pride in strong pipelines while helping our small TA team punch above its weight. Location: Remote within the United States, with working hours overlapping Eastern Time (ET). Engagement: Initial 6-month contract with an opportunity to extend or convert to full-time. What You’ll Do - Source directly, every day, engaging passive candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, advanced Boolean searches, healthcare databases and associations, referrals, niche job boards, and online communities. - Develop creative sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill healthcare positions, and build talent pipelines for Clinical Data Abstractors, Nurses, and other specialized roles that serve current needs and future growth. - Conduct initial outreach and introductory screens to assess qualifications, credentials, and interest before handing strong candidates to recruiters. - Bring data to the process. Track outreach volume, response rates, conversion rates, and qualified submissions; use funnel analytics to guide where to focus next. - Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring priorities and ideal candidate profiles. - Keep Greenhouse pristine with accurate, detailed candidate records, and continuously evaluate new sourcing channels, tools, and AI technologies. Qualifications - 5+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience within healthcare, with demonstrated success sourcing clinical talent (Nurses, Clinical Data Abstractors, Quality professionals, or similar). - Advanced Boolean search and LinkedIn Recruiter expertise. - Comfort with data: able to track, interpret, and act on sourcing and funnel metrics. - Greenhouse experience. - Excellent written communication and relationship-building skills, with outreach that gets responses from busy clinical professionals. - Organized, self-motivated, and effective managing multiple sourcing projects in a remote-first environment. - Legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred - Experience sourcing remote healthcare professionals. - Knowledge of healthcare registries and clinical data abstraction. - Experience recruiting for registry abstraction or healthcare quality roles. - Familiarity with AI-powered sourcing tools. How We’ll Measure Success - Sustainable pipelines for difficult-to-fill clinical positions. - Consistent delivery of qualified passive candidates to recruiters. - Improved outreach response rates and candidate engagement. - Reduced time-to-fill through proactive sourcing. - Useful market intelligence delivered to hiring managers and the TA team. Compensation - Contract rate: $60 per hour (1099). Initial engagement of 6 months, with an opportunity to extend or convert to full-time. How to Apply Submit your résumé and a short note about why this role caught your eye. In your application, please answer both questions below. Specific, concrete answers stand out; we read every application. - In 3–5 sentences, tell us about a hard-to-fill clinical role you sourced for: the role, where you found the winning candidate, and what your first outreach message said. - Describe a time you used sourcing or funnel data (response rates, conversion rates, channel performance) to change your approach. What did the data show, and what did you do differently? Equal Opportunity Carta Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer.
