Job Description
Lead Forward-Deployed Engineer
1mind
• Lead end-to-end forward deployments of 1mind’s products — from technical scoping and system design through production rollout inside customer web environments. • Ramp rapidly on unfamiliar web applications, tracing and debugging HTML/DOM and rendering issues across static, server-rendered, and client-rendered architectures. • Build and maintain robust UI automation using Playwright, Puppeteer, and Chrome DevTools Protocol to drive reliable agent behavior across desktop and mobile, and across Chrome/Chromium, Firefox, Safari/WebKit, and Edge. • Work hands-on with the AI orchestration layer — prompts, retrieval, and agent configuration — to tune Superhuman behavior for each customer’s product and workflows. • Handle real-world auth and web state — cookies, sessions, tokens, and local/session storage — to make deployments secure and resilient. • Serve as the senior technical partner to customer engineering teams: run technical discovery, translate business needs into deployment plans, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Codify what works into repeatable playbooks, internal tooling, and documentation that make every subsequent deployment faster. • Feed deployment insights back into the product roadmap, working closely with engineering and product leadership.
Job Requirements
- Significant hands-on front-end engineering experience building and shipping production web applications — a must for this role.
- Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS fundamentals, with deep working knowledge of HTML elements and the accessibility tree (ARIA).
- Deep expertise in the DOM and browser rendering pipelines — static, SSR, and CSR — and comfort debugging rendering issues in the browser console and dev tools.
- Deep production experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Svelte).
- Production experience with UI automation tooling: Playwright, Puppeteer, or Chrome DevTools Protocol.
- Solid grasp of authentication and web state: cookies, sessions, tokens, and local/session storage.
- Working knowledge of AI/LLM systems — prompting, retrieval, and orchestration — and genuine curiosity about deploying agents in production.
- Proven ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar web applications and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving customer environments.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills; comfortable leading technical conversations with customer engineering teams.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Benefits
- We’re completely transforming how companies go to market — scaling revenue beyond human capacity.
- Build a brand-new function from the ground up and define how a category-defining product lands with customers.
- Work alongside a top-tier, high-ownership team during a rapid growth phase.
- High visibility, high impact role — with room to grow into leading the forward deployed organization as we scale.
