Role Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator with strong experience estimating U.S. commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who is highly proficient in PlanSwift and has experience preparing accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for Division 9 scopes, including drywall, metal stud framing, acoustic ceilings, painting, and related commercial interior work. You'll collaborate closely with the Head Estimator to deliver accurate, timely estimates that support successful project bids. Key Responsibilities - Perform accurate material and quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift. - Prepare detailed estimates for Division 9 commercial construction projects. - Estimate scopes including drywall, metal stud framing, wood framing, acoustic ceilings, painting, and related finishes. - Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents. - Apply company labor rates, pricing, and estimating standards to prepare competitive bids. - Collaborate with the Head Estimator to clarify project scope and pricing. - Maintain organized estimating documentation and bid records. - Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Qualifications - 3-8+ years of experience estimating U.S. commercial construction projects. - Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. - Strong understanding of commercial construction estimating and takeoff methodologies. - Advanced proficiency with PlanSwift. - Experience estimating Division 9 scopes is highly preferred. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Able to work independently in a remote environment. • Manage the complete estimating process for commercial earthwork and utility construction projects from bid invitation through proposal submission. • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs using industry-standard estimating software. • Develop complete project estimates and bid proposals. • Review plans, specifications, and project documents to determine scope requirements. • Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) during the bidding process. • Follow and adapt to internal estimating procedures and standard operating processes. • Maintain estimated documentation and bid records within the company's internal systems. • Communicate directly with the company owner on project priorities, bid strategy, and estimate reviews. • Progress from an initial onboarding and review phase to fully autonomous bid management.

• Complete detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and services documentation. • Build and maintain trade-based estimates (labour, materials, plant) aligned with company templates. • Prepare and issue RFQ packages, scope sheets, and tender queries to subcontractors and suppliers. • Review and level subcontractor quotes, identify scope gaps, and produce comparisons and recommendations. • Assist with value management options and alternatives (rate-based and clearly explained). • Produce accurate internal reports including cost plans, estimate summaries, allowances, exclusions, and risk notes. • Maintain and continuously improve the company price list and rate library. • Provide clear, concise responses to project teams to keep procurement and decision-making progressing efficiently.

• Manages projects on behalf of our clients, managing and meeting deadlines • Complete a variety of virtual assistant tasks including scheduling, emailing, lead conversion management, research projects, data entry, and many more different types of projects • Professionally communicate with clients and adjust to their changing priorities, needs, and deadlines using their business values and processes as a guiding principle • Hours start at 10-20 hours per week and have potential to grow up to 40 hours per week as we grow. Schedule is flexible and largely weekday-based, with most project turnaround times being 1-2 days. • This is a remote position.
