• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for construction projects. • Develop competitive bids and client proposals. • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine project scope and pricing requirements. • Analyze labor, material, subcontractor, and equipment costs. • Identify potential risks, exclusions, and scope gaps during the estimating process. • Maintain accuracy and consistency across all estimates and bid submissions. • Work within the client's existing systems and workflows to support project delivery. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders regarding project requirements and bid strategies. • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines. • Support the company's overall preconstruction and business development efforts.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of dedicated construction estimating experience.
  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent construction-related background preferred.
  • Experience estimating U.S.-based construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Full-time availability (40 hours per week) and willingness to work exclusively with the client.
  • Comfortable working during U.S. Pacific Time business hours.

Key Responsibilities - Perform accurate material and quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift. - Prepare detailed estimates for Division 9 commercial construction projects. - Estimate scopes including drywall, metal stud framing, wood framing, acoustic ceilings, painting, and related finishes. - Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents. - Apply company labor rates, pricing, and estimating standards to prepare competitive bids. - Collaborate with the Head Estimator to clarify project scope and pricing. - Maintain organized estimating documentation and bid records. - Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Qualifications - 3-8+ years of experience estimating U.S. commercial construction projects. - Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. - Strong understanding of commercial construction estimating and takeoff methodologies. - Advanced proficiency with PlanSwift. - Experience estimating Division 9 scopes is highly preferred. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. - Able to work independently in a remote environment.
