Role Description To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Manager – Legal (Procurement) in India, Remote. The Senior Manager – Legal (Procurement) will be responsible for providing support in review, negotiation, and management of procurement contracts (supplier/vendor facing). - Review different procurement contracts and other related legal documents and ensure compliance of Flex’s internal risk parameters and achievement of business objectives. - Raise red flags/make recommendations to other members of the legal department. - Collaborate with senior regional attorneys, business and sales head situated globally. - Engage with vendor’s legal department to resolve impasse and negotiate the contracts. - Play an active role in management of the contract life cycle from identification of a need, through negotiation, agreement, monitoring, and close-out. - Advise on foreign and domestic transactions involving manufacturing, materials, intellectual property, inventory, services and financing issues. - Be a good coach/mentor to junior attorneys. Qualifications - Minimum 7 years of experience working in large manufacturing companies, preferably with global Multi-National Corporations (MNCs). - Hands-on experience in reviewing global procurement contracts. - Knowledge management background (training of contract attorneys). - Good knowledge in laws related to working of contracts. - Problem-solving skills – should be a problem solver and business partner rather than simply executing tasks. - Excellent communication skills in oral/written English. - Result-oriented approach. - Strategic legal thinking and capable of arriving at practical legal solutions. - Ability to engage and thrive in a cross-cultural environment.
