Where the team fits in The Workplace Receptionist sits within The Finance and Business Services team, or FaBS as we like to call them, which is the engine room of the REA Group. The team is comprised of Finance, Workplace Experience & Procurement, Investor Relations and Corporate Development. For our Workplace team, the staff are our customers, we look after them. We support our people and give them a pleasant and safe working experience in the office and at home. We’re onsite, front of house, and always offering a helping hand. Whilst we are looking for someone to be at our front desk, the role is not just answering the phone and greeting people with a smile. What the role is all about Act as the main point of contact and front-of-house for all visitors and guests to REA Manage incoming / outgoing calls, emails, Slacks, and in-person enquiries Communicate facility and office updates to staff via the appropriate channels Be responsible for our visitor management system, ensuring our guests to the office do the right thing Maintain security and access register and ensure all guests to REA and signed in and out appropriately Ensure staff common and amenity areas such as mail room, breakfast area, and reception are well maintained Monitor and action PWG (Procurement & Workplace) tickets that relate to reception, including couriers, new starters and departures, lockers, events, catering, etc Be responsible for reception duties for states outside of Melbourne and Sydney, as well as remote workers Be responsible in the coordination of REA internal social events across all states Assist the WHS Committee group to implement workplace safety programs and information in and around the office Assist the Sustainability team to implement sustainable measures in and around the office Assist the People Services team to implement parking, benefits, new starter and departures, and policies Assist to maintain team internal intranet pages on REA intranet with relevant information and updates to staff Act as both an REA First Aider or Warden (training will be provided)
