Role Description We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and operate large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. In this role you will own the end-to-end cloud engineering lifecycle, including: - Architecture - Infrastructure-as-code - Automation - Security hardening - Cost optimization - Observability - Ongoing operational excellence for production workloads The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise across Azure services with strong DevOps engineering practices, and will partner closely with application development, security, and SRE teams to deliver cloud-native solutions that meet demanding business requirements for scalability, reliability, and compliance. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Five or more years of cloud engineering experience, with at least three years focused on Microsoft Azure in production environments. - Strong hands-on experience with Azure core services, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and platform-as-a-service offerings. - Production-level experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. - Solid experience designing and operating Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters at scale. - Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD across infrastructure and applications. - Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python, with the ability to write maintainable automation code. - Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and compliance frameworks. - Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability strategies across distributed workloads. - Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. Requirements - Design and implement enterprise-grade Azure cloud architectures spanning compute, networking, storage, identity, and data services, with explicit attention to scalability, security, and total cost of ownership. - Develop, maintain, and continuously improve infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. - Configure and manage Azure landing zones, virtual networks, subnets, route tables, and network security groups. - Implement secure identity, access management, and governance controls using Azure Active Directory. - Architect and operate Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters. - Deploy, scale, and tune Azure data and analytics platforms. - Build and operate comprehensive CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. - Design and implement robust observability practices using Azure Monitor and other tools. - Drive Azure cost optimization initiatives. - Implement disaster-recovery and business-continuity strategies. - Strengthen security posture by integrating Microsoft Defender for Cloud and other tools. - Collaborate closely with application teams to architect cloud-native solutions. - Develop automation scripts and tooling in PowerShell, Bash, and Python. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute actively to internal communities of practice. This role drives the evolution of Genesys’ internal Contact Center as a Service platform by building intelligent automation that enhances how employees access support and services. You will design, develop, and scale conversational experiences, integrations, and workflows that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and elevate the internal service experience across the organization. - Develop and maintain Genesys Cloud Architect flows, Bot Flows, and Workflows supporting automation and self-service. - Build and administer core platform configurations including Divisions, queues, routing profiles, wrap-up codes, and user and role management. - Build Data Actions and ServiceNow integrations or workflow automation to streamline internal processes. - Support implementation of Agentic AI and conversational features, including knowledge surfacing, summarization, and routing logic. - Troubleshoot and administer Genesys Cloud corporate instance and provide fixes for incidents. - Test and validate automation deployments to ensure accuracy and performance. - Monitor platform health and interact with observability and logging tools to investigate flow and integration failures. - Document configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge reuse. - Work under the guidance of senior developers and the manager to deliver sprint-based backlog items. - Participate in daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure aligned progress. - Proactively learn and apply Genesys Cloud capabilities to expand automation coverage. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience developing or supporting CCaaS/contact center or automation solutions. - Understanding of basic AI/NLU concepts and conversational design principles. - Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and integration development. - Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, JavaScript, or equivalent) for API automation and integration testing. - Exposure to ServiceNow or other workflow automation tools. - Familiarity with monitoring or logging tools for troubleshooting platform and integration issues. - Strong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly. - Effective communication and collaboration in a remote, global team environment. Requirements - Hands-on experience with CX-as-Code and Terraform for Genesys Cloud configuration management and CI/CD pipelines. - Genesys Cloud certification (CX Cloud Developer Associate or equivalent). - Experience with agile teams and sprint-based software delivery. - Familiarity with Genesys Cloud AI features including Agent Copilot, knowledge management, and predictive routing. • Develop and maintain business solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate workflows within the VAEC framework. • Develop Power BI reports and dashboards using existing Power BI Service licenses, deployed Report Server, gateway, and designated workspace. • Support the SSRS-to-Power BI migration under the direction of senior developers. • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint sites, SQL Server databases, and existing .NET applications. • Maintain and enhance the existing DMC portfolio of Power Apps, flows, and SharePoint integrations. • Write and maintain SQL queries and data connections supporting Power Platform solutions. • Ensure all Power Apps, flows, and Power BI reports meet Section 508, ADA, and WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA compliance requirements. • Document solution configurations, data sources, and report-to-data-source traceability. • Support ATO artifact maintenance and vulnerability remediation for Power Platform components. • Participate in recurring technical working sessions with the DMC team and SharePoint and Power Platform developers.
