Role Description: As an Underwriter on our Public Entity Practice team, you will play a key role in evaluating and underwriting new and renewal multi-line public entity business while building strong relationships with brokers, risk managers, and internal business partners. Working closely with your manager and mentor, you will analyze complex risks, develop competitive and profitable quotations, and contribute to the continued growth of our Public Entity portfolio. This collaborative role offers the opportunity to deepen your underwriting expertise while partnering with Claims, Business Development, and Excess Workers' Compensation teams to deliver creative solutions and exceptional service to our customers. You will evaluate underwriting submissions, review financial and loss information, determine appropriate retention levels, pricing, and policy terms, and negotiate acceptable coverage solutions. You'll also help identify new business opportunities, strengthen broker relationships through cross-selling initiatives, and represent Safety National at industry events while supporting the achievement of departmental production and profitability goals. Qualifications: Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent insurance industry experience will also be considered.
