DevOps Engineer

Leidos

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible, OCI Resource Manager. • Develop and maintain IaC scripts to automate the provisioning, configuration, and deployment of cloud environments. • Provision and secure micro-segmented virtual cloud networks in “hub and spoke” topologies. • Deploy and manage virtual machines, applications, and databases in OCI using services like Compute and Block Storage. • Secure application traffic flow using OCI Security Lists and Network Security Groups (NSG). • Secure access to cloud objects using OCI compartments and Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies. • Collaborate with application engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud infrastructure with application development and deployment pipelines. • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, security, and cost-efficiency. • Monitor and manage operating systems within the OCI environment. • Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and IaC scripts. • Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices. • Ensure security and compliance standards are met across all deployments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • US Citizen with an ACTIVE ADP1/IT1 Public Trust (or higher) clearance and completed Tier 5 background investigation.
  • Proven experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and configuration management.
  • Experience deploying and managing operating systems in a cloud environment.
  • Strong knowledge and administration skills of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • General familiarity with virtual cloud networking concepts and topologies specifically “hub and spoke” networks.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Github or OCI DevOps.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to harden systems and cloud environments, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) security protocols and reducing vulnerability exposure.
  • Designed, deployed, and managed secure cloud infrastructures while adhering to DoD cloud security requirements, including the integration of STIGs for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
