Role Description We are looking for a skilled and reliable Oiler to join our engine department onboard. The successful candidate will support engineering officers in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of ship machinery and engine room systems while ensuring safe and efficient engine room operations. Key Responsibilities - Conduct routine machinery rounds and engine room inspections. - Lubricate machinery and equipment according to maintenance schedules. - Assist engineering officers with machinery maintenance and repair work. - Monitor the performance of engine room equipment and report any abnormalities. - Maintain engine room cleanliness, housekeeping, and safety standards. - Follow company policies, maritime regulations, and onboard safety procedures. Qualifications - 1–3 years of experience in engine room operations onboard a vessel. - Basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills. - Good understanding of engine room safety practices. - Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work in shifts and adapt to onboard operations. - Basic communication skills in English and Hindi. Role Description Under direction of the Area Service Manager, develops customer satisfaction through technical repair, installation, training, operation, and maintenance of Werfen instruments and systems. Position may have a specific assigned territory or system population or may be a position to cover other assigned territories as needed under the direction of the Area Service Manager. Responsibilities - Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installations and necessary diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex instruments and systems. - Performs routine and some non-routine technical repairs of all systems, including updates, retrofits, PMs, and product enhancements. - Instructs customers in the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Werfen instruments and systems. - Is responsible for complying with all appropriate regulatory bodies (FDA, ISO, and Health Canada) mandated policies, procedures, work instructions, and records. - Serves as a company liaison with customers. - Responsible for routine interaction with sales counterparts regarding customer situations, updates, and lead generation. - Assures financial stability and viability of territory by promoting and selling service agreements, PMs, and other services. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Area Service Manager. Qualifications - Associates Degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, or related industry. - Must possess some organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and exercise good judgment. - Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management through oral and written presentations/reports. - Must have some basic MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), including the ability to manipulate data and build presentations. - Travel is required. Requirements - Minimum 30% travel by auto in primary assigned territory. - Minimum 10% travel by air for training, business meetings, and/or support to customers outside primary or assigned territory.
