Role Description We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our team. This is a quota-carrying individual contributor role responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within assigned law enforcement, government, and public sector accounts. The role supports execution of the broader U.S. State & Local Government sales strategy under the direction of regional sales leadership. This role requires strong experience navigating government procurement processes, building trusted stakeholder relationships, and managing complex, high-value B2G sales cycles in diverse US Government markets. Reporting to the Vice President, US Government Sales, this role partners closely with sales leadership on territory planning, account strategy, and pipeline execution while maintaining responsibility for the achievement of individual bookings targets. Key Responsibilities - Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts, agencies, and market segments across the United States. - Carry and achieve an individual quota through effective pipeline generation, opportunity progression, forecast discipline, and successful closure of new business opportunities. - Partner with regional sales leadership on territory planning, account prioritization, and strategic opportunity development. - Develop and maintain deep knowledge of government procurement policies and compliance requirements across agencies. - Lead customer engagement throughout the full sales lifecycle, from early discovery through contract award. - Represent SS8 at industry events, trade shows, and government meetings in a professional, respectful, and inclusive manner. - Collaborate closely with internal teams—including product, marketing, legal, and operations—to tailor solutions to customer and regulatory requirements. - Prepare and deliver high-quality proposals, presentations, and RFI/RFP responses. - Establish and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key law enforcement and government stakeholders, partners, consultants, and system integrators. - Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity to inform regional go-to-market strategies. Travel - Travel required (up to 25-50%) Qualifications - 5+ years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management selling to US law enforcement, governments or public sector customers. - Proven track record of success in complex, high-value B2G sales environments. - Ideally experience from a law enforcement agency. - Strong understanding of government procurement and contracting processes. - Demonstrated experience working with law enforcement and government intelligence agencies. - Experience developing and managing opportunities within assigned public-sector accounts or geographic markets. - Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. - Ability to manage long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders simultaneously. - Willingness and ability to travel as required. Benefits - Work on mission-critical projects that support public safety and national security. - Join a globally respected, purpose-driven organization. - Competitive salary and commission structure. - Dynamic, international work environment with opportunities for growth and impact. Compensation & Benefits The expected base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 plus commission opportunities with an expected total target compensation (OTE) range of $180,000 – $250,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Commission structure will be discussed during the hiring process.
