Role Description The Department of Economic Security, Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Business Intelligence Analyst Intermediate for the Family Assistance Administration (FAA) Systems team. Under minimal supervision, performs the most complex tasks to support the division by performing data analysis, data mining, design, development, testing activities, and execution of Ad-hoc and Standard reports to achieve strategic objectives and goals. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. - Design Adhoc and Standard reports in Tableau, SSIS, or other technology solutions which may require writing SQL and "Run Book" documentation to support design. - Manage life-cycle development and deployment utilizing SSIS, SQL, Tableau, Visual Basic, MS Access, dimensional and relational database design, or other business intelligence software tools. - Serves on projects and/or pilots to provide technical guidance working collaboratively with the Analyst on design to ensure integration between Business Intelligence and business requirements. - Write and/or provide input for requirements, framework, and mechanisms for data analytics working closely with Analyst and End User. - Participate in planning, development, testing, and delivery of solutions, and data stewardship activities. - Develop, analyze, and evaluate business needs to improve workflow processes, troubleshoot Business Intelligence tool problems. - Design and deliver end-user presentations, training, Desk-Aids, and/or associated materials to technical and non-technical audiences. - Other duties as assigned, as related to the position. Qualifications - A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or closely related field. - 2 years of experience in a business intelligence or data analysis role. In this role, you will organize and maintain HR documentation and resources, using AI tools to automate content tagging, improve search, and identify gaps. You'll support teams by creating templates, guides, and process documentation, and provide training to help them get the most out of our intelligent knowledge systems. Your work will ensure our knowledge management is efficient, scalable, and rooted in ethical AI practices, making it easier for employees to find and use the information they need. • Function as a technical expert on large and/or complex information requests or projects for SAP • Act as a liaison and expert to business partners and clients on information solutions, such as, reporting, OLAP, Dashboards/scorecards, data stores and data access and analysis methods • Translate business needs for projects and broad scale initiatives into data analysis and reporting solutions for SAP • Follow Data Management processes and procedures and provide input to the creation of data definitions, business rules and data access methods • Analyze trends and make recommendations to business partners • Design, develop, code, implement and troubleshoot reporting applications including designing and interfacing with back-end databases and data marts • Contribute to the development and modification of coding standards for the team to ensure consistency, efficiency and accuracy in reporting and data analysis • Collaborate with IT on database design, data mart structure and the technical architecture of the data delivery environment • Participate in and/or lead the evaluation of future data delivery and analysis methods and tools
