Role Description This is a remote position. We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Specialist / Data Scientist to support the design, development, and delivery of analytical data products and services. The successful candidate will leverage advanced analytics, statistical modeling, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to develop innovative, data-driven solutions. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. - 6+ years of experience using statistical and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, SAS, or Scala. - 6+ years of experience building analytical and quantitative models. - 6+ years of experience preparing data for predictive and prescriptive modeling. - 5+ years of experience translating complex business problems into analytical solutions. - 6+ years of experience with data analytics methodologies and statistical analysis. - 6+ years of experience applying statistical and data mining techniques. - 6+ years of experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). - Strong knowledge of: - Data Analytics - Data Science - Data Modeling - Statistical Analysis - Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics - Data Mining - Machine Learning - Artificial Intelligence - Experience with dashboarding and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Role Description DeVoe School of Business, Technology, and Leadership is seeking experienced Adjunct Faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate applied A.I. courses in an online, asynchronous format. Additional opportunities exist to teach international student courses in a hybrid format, which includes online coursework and a two-day in-person session located in Merrillville, IN or Dallas, TX. - Perform instruction related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the college. - Employ a range of suitable strategies to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, encourage active learning in all students, maintain proper class related records, promptly assess student coursework, and apprise students of progress. - Articulate, current within his or her discipline, and demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning with related professional experience. - Incorporate Biblical principles into the content area. - Communicate with all IWU constituents in a professional and academic manner. - (Essential) Qualifications - According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy, all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement. - Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field.
