Job Description

Senior Director, Product Marketing

ServiceTrade

• Define and own ServiceTrade’s product marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market approach across the fire protection and mechanical product lines. • Build, lead, and develop a high-caliber product marketing team, setting a high bar for strategic thinking and quality of writing. • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new product and feature launches, with particular ownership over AI-powered capability launches. • Personally shape the narrative for major launches and strategic initiatives — writing (or directly editing) the messaging, launch briefs, and content that matter most. • Build and maintain a rigorous competitive intelligence program, translating market and competitor shifts into positioning guidance, battlecards, and sales enablement. • Partner closely with Product Management to bring customer, market, and competitive insight into roadmap decisions. • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to arm sellers and CSMs with talk tracks, objection handling, and persona-aligned messaging that improve win rates and adoption. • Represent product marketing at the executive and board level, communicating launch plans, market position, and results clearly and persuasively. • Champion the use of AI to improve product marketing’s own workflows, content creation, and go-to-market processes. • Serve as ServiceTrade’s internal expert on how the market perceives our products — especially our AI capabilities — and where we need to sharpen our story.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience, including at least 3+ years leading and building product marketing teams.
  • A demonstrated track record of leading successful new product launches, ideally including AI-powered products or capabilities.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling ability — you should be able to point to messaging, launch narratives, or content you personally wrote that drove real business results.
  • High intellectual horsepower: strategic, analytical, and able to synthesize complex technical, market, and customer information into clear direction.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and/or a board.
  • Deep experience with competitive intelligence, market analysis, and cross-functional go-to-market execution.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, PE-backed, high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity while still driving toward decisions and results.
  • A collaborative leader who inspires followership across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Nice to have: experience in field service, commercial contracting, or vertical SaaS serving industries with a technician or field workforce.

Benefits

Role Description This is a remote position. RaftLabs is an AI-first product studio. We build custom software, SaaS products, and AI applications for clients in the UK, EU, North America, and Australia. We also build our own products: LoyaltyPass and Makeover. We are building a growth marketing function from scratch. This role owns it. What you'll own: - Growth across three areas: - RaftLabs.com — SEO, AEO, GEO, content, backlinks, and lead generation - Our own products — LoyaltyPass, Makeover, and future RaftLabs products - Client accounts — selected growth marketing engagements for paying clients - Channels you own: content marketing, SEO, AEO, GEO, backlinks, outreach, website growth, conversion optimisation, distribution, experiments, analytics, team building. What you'll do: - Growth strategy: Set and own the growth plan for each brand and assigned client. Understand the audience, competition, and business goals. Turn that into monthly and quarterly plans with clear priorities. Take ownership of results without waiting for founder direction. - Team building: Define what roles are needed. Hire, onboard, manage, and develop team members across content, SEO, outreach, analytics, and distribution. Build a team that works for both internal brands and client accounts. Create clear SOPs, quality standards, and reporting systems that do not require you to review every output personally. - Growth marketing as a service: Help shape and package RaftLabs' growth marketing offering. Define what we deliver, how we deliver it, and what clients can expect. Prepare audits, growth plans, proposals, and reporting templates. Build the systems that make multi-client delivery repeatable. - SEO, AEO, and GEO: Own technical, on-page, and off-page SEO across all properties. Build topic clusters, content roadmaps, and internal linking plans. Work with developers to address crawlability, schema, and speed. Optimise content for AI answer engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and AI Overviews. Track AI mentions, branded citations, and referral traffic from AI platforms. - Content marketing: Plan content around buyer intent, search demand, and business priorities. Manage blog posts, landing pages, case studies, service pages, comparison pages, and guides. Write clear briefs for writers and subject matter experts. Review content for quality, accuracy, and search performance. Repurpose across LinkedIn, X, newsletters, and relevant communities. - Backlinks and outreach: Build scalable and ethical link acquisition strategies. Manage guest posts, expert contributions, digital PR, and partnership opportunities. Measure backlink quality and business impact, not just domain counts. Build outreach systems with templates, tracking, and follow-up processes that scale without depending solely on cold volume. - Analytics and reporting: Define meaningful KPIs for each brand and client account. Build dashboards that connect marketing activity to traffic, leads, conversions, and revenue. Deliver clear weekly and monthly updates. Use data to guide priorities, not to justify past decisions. - Experiments: Maintain an experiment pipeline across channels, formats, and offers. Define the hypothesis and success metric before every test. Scale what works. Kill what does not. Document every finding so the team learns from it. Qualifications - 5+ years in growth marketing, B2B marketing, SaaS marketing, or technology marketing. - Has owned strategy and execution — not just executed plans handed down from above. - Has built or managed a marketing team, even a small one. - Has worked on client-facing marketing projects, at a software agency, or in a services company. - Strong grasp of SEO, AEO, GEO, content marketing, backlinks, and outreach. - Strong written communication: your briefs, plans, and client reports represent RaftLabs. - Comfortable managing multiple brands and client accounts in parallel. - Uses Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent AI tools in daily marketing work — for research, drafting, ideation, and analysis. Already part of your workflow, not something you are planning to try. Requirements - Good to have: - Experience at a software agency, product studio, SaaS company, or growth marketing agency. - Experience building a marketing service line from scratch. - Experience creating client audits, growth roadmaps, and proposal documents. - Experience marketing to audiences in the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, and Australia. - Working knowledge of Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, HubSpot, Clay, Apollo, and Screaming Frog. - Experience with digital PR, founder-led content, and content distribution. - Existing relationships with editors, publications, communities, or industry experts. - Experience managing remote teams, freelancers, or agencies. - Hard filters — don't apply if: - Your marketing experience is purely execution with no strategy ownership. - You have never worked on B2B or SaaS marketing. - You have no client-facing marketing experience. - You have never managed or mentored anyone on a marketing team. - AI tools are something you plan to use more, rather than already in your daily workflow. - You need daily direction to decide what to work on next. Benefits - Fully remote: work from wherever suits you. - Flexible hours: we care about what ships, not when you log in. - 5-day work week: not just a talking point. - Annual off-sites: the whole team meets in person once a year. - Real scope: you are building this function, not inheriting someone else's half-finished work.
