Role Description This is a remote position. We build custom software for founders and product teams across the UK, the EU, and North America — Loyalty, Hospitality, and B2B SaaS. You'll take ambiguous client briefs, define what should actually get built, and make sure delivery doesn't drift from that definition. This role is 80% product thinking, 20% delivery discipline. If your default mode is tracking tasks rather than shaping outcomes, this isn't the role for you. What you own: - Discovery — run structured sessions with non-technical clients, challenge assumptions, and define what's worth building and what isn't. - Specification — produce BRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering can act on without a follow-up call. Your spec is your reputation. - Scope — set it, defend it, and catch creep before it becomes a conversation about budget. - Prioritization — make hard calls when time, money, or tech forces a trade-off. You have a point of view and you can back it. - Translation — bridge client intent and engineering reality without losing either side. - Delivery ownership — timelines, risks, and blockers are yours to surface early, not explain later. Qualifications - 3–5 years in a product or BA role inside a software services or consulting company — not in-house product, not pure coordination. - Has produced real discovery outputs: BRDs, user stories, feature specs — not Jira hygiene. - Client-facing by default — comfortable running discovery calls, pushing back on scope, and writing directly to clients without a filter. - Written English that's client-grade — every doc, update, and message you send represents RaftLabs. - Async-first discipline — you move work forward without meetings, and you don't need to be chased. - Actively and efficiently uses Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent AI tools as part of daily workflow — for drafting specs, structuring discovery notes, stress-testing requirements, or accelerating research. Not theoretical. Show us how. Requirements - Delivery layer (secondary but real): Sprint planning, timeline management, stakeholder updates. - Cross-functional coordination — dev, design, QA. - Change request handling with scope and budget awareness. - Pre-sales scoping and effort estimation support. Hard filters — don't apply if - Your PM experience is entirely internal — no external client delivery. - You're waiting for requirements to be handed to you before you start thinking. - You've never written a spec or BRD from scratch. - AI tools are something you "plan to use more" rather than something already in your stack. - You need daily check-ins to stay on track. Benefits - 5-Day Work Week — Enjoy a healthy work-life balance. - Fully Remote Team — Work from anywhere in India with teammates across the country. - Your Space, Your Way — Set up your workspace the way you like. - No Commute, Ever — Save time and energy by working from home. - Flexible Work Schedule — We focus on productivity and quality deliverables, not time tracking. You choose when and how you work. - Annual Offsites & Team Catch-ups — Connect, collaborate, and unwind with the team through in-person meetups and offsite events.

Role Description This is a remote position. This is not a typical project manager role. You will be the single point of accountability for delivery across all active projects at RaftLabs. You will sit above our project managers, not beside them. Your job is to make sure every project is running on track, every client is informed and happy, and every manager is doing what they are supposed to do. When they are not, you escalate, course-correct, or take charge. Think of it this way: 15 projects are running in parallel. Five managers own them. You own all five managers. What You'll Own - Delivery Oversight - Maintain a real-time pulse on every active project: timelines, risks, blockers, and progress. - Ensure no delivery slips are without early visibility and a mitigation plan in place. - Identify projects that are off-track before the client notices. - Manager Accountability - Ensure every project manager is following their defined SOP consistently and not just occasionally. - Run regular check-ins with PMs and hold them accountable to their commitments. - Act as the escalation layer between PMs and leadership. - Client Health - Make sure every client is receiving regular, structured updates. - Ensure meeting minutes are documented after every client call. - Run or oversee periodic temperature checks to catch dissatisfaction early. - Step in on client communication directly when a situation needs a senior hand. - Estimation & Billing Hygiene - Review and challenge estimates before they go out; spot underestimation, over-commitment, or scope creep before it becomes a problem. - Ensure all hours are being logged accurately and on time. - Make sure that work being done is being billed correctly with no value leakage. - Process Compliance - Ensure the RaftLabs Manager OS (our internal operating system for delivery) is being followed across all projects. - Identify gaps in how managers are operating and close them through coaching, escalation, or process improvement. Qualifications - 3 to 5 years of experience managing software delivery at a services or agency company. - Has managed multiple projects simultaneously across different domains and client types. - Has directly managed or overseen project managers or team leads, not just developers. - Solid familiarity with the software development lifecycle (Agile, sprints, releases), well enough to challenge estimates and spot risk. - Prior experience specifically at a tech services or custom software development company. - Has worked in fast-moving, multi-client environments where context switching is the norm. Skills & Traits - Exceptional at context switching: you can move from a billing conversation to a technical estimate review to a client escalation in the same afternoon. - Strong communicator, written and verbal, especially in a sync and remote environment. - Detail-oriented without being a bottleneck; you track everything but do not slow things down. - Comfortable challenging estimates, pushing back on over-commitment, and having hard conversations when deliveries are at risk. - Ownership mindset: You do not wait for problems to come to you; you find them first. - Remote-Ready: Has worked in a fully remote setup and knows how to build accountability and visibility without micromanaging. - Disciplined about documentation, sync updates, and structured communication. What Success Looks Like at 90 Days - You know every active project, its status, its risks, and its client relationship health without needing to ask the founder. - Every PM is being held to their SOP consistently. - No delivery surprise goes unreported for more than 24 hours. - The founders have stopped worrying about delivery. Benefits - Direct impact: you will own a function that directly shapes how the company grows and retains clients. - High trust, high autonomy: we give ownership to people who have earned it. - A team that has built real products for real clients across healthcare, fin-tech, retail, hospitality, and more. - Remote-first culture with strong sync communication practices. - A company actively moving toward an AI-native model: you will be building the delivery function of tomorrow's agency, not yesterday's.

Role Description This is a remote position. As we grow, we need someone who can own the entire engineering function, raise the technical bar across the team, and make sure what we build today does not break tomorrow. This is not a hands-off leadership role. You will own engineering quality, architecture decisions, technical standards, and the growth of every developer at RaftLabs. You will manage our tech leads directly and be the final word on how we build things. At the same time, you will also own projects end-to-end. What You'll Own - Code Quality and Architecture - Own and enforce coding standards across all active projects. - Review architectural decisions before they go into production, not after. - Catch scalability issues, anti-patterns, and technical debt early and address them before they become expensive problems. - Ensure what we build is production-ready, not just feature-complete. - Technical Standards and Stack Discipline - Define and document how we use our technology stack across the team. - Push back on unnecessary tool changes; we do not switch from a tool we have already invested in unless there is a strong, justified reason to do so. - Actively evaluate whether the tools we use are still the right ones and recommend changes when the case is genuinely compelling. - Make sure we are not solving a problem we already have a solution for by reaching for something new. - Tech Lead Management - Manage all tech leads directly and be accountable for their technical output. - Coach them on architecture, scalability, decision-making, and engineering maturity. - Build a culture where leads think before they act and can justify their technical choices. - Developer Growth - Identify skill gaps across the engineering team and put a plan in place to close them. - Create an environment where developers are learning and improving, not just shipping. - AI-Native Development Standards - Define how the team uses AI coding tools, specifically Claude Code, in a structured and consistent way. - Standardize AI-assisted development practices so they are a genuine productivity lever across the team, not a wildcard. - Set the bar for what AI-assisted code review looks like and how we maintain quality in that workflow. - Technology Evaluation - Stay close to what is happening in the industry and bring relevant insights to the team. - Evaluate new tools and technologies critically: the bar is not "this is new" or "this is slightly cheaper," it is "this solves a real problem we have better than what we already use." - Prevent over-engineering; not every problem needs a sophisticated solution. - Project Ownership - Own at least one active client project end to end, not as a figurehead but as an active technical lead. - Use that project as a live example of how engineering should be done at RaftLabs. Qualifications - 6 to 9 years of software development experience, with at least 2 to 3 years in an engineering leadership role. - Has built and shipped large-scale, production-grade applications that have had to handle real growth and real load. - Has worked at a product company or a services company with multiple concurrent projects running at scale. - Has directly managed tech leads or senior developers, not just individual contributors. - Solid understanding of modern full-stack web development; familiarity with our stack (Next.js, Vercel, Neon, Trigger.dev, and related tools) is a must. - Has made architectural decisions they have had to live with long enough to see what worked and what did not. Requirements - Technically strong but not a gatekeeping engineer; you enable the team, you do not slow it down. - Calm and structured when evaluating technical trade-offs; not swayed by hype. - Strong communicator who can explain a complex technical decision to a non-technical stakeholder without losing accuracy. - Humble enough to say "I was wrong" and change course when the evidence calls for it. - Firm enough to push back on bad decisions, whether they come from a developer, a lead, or a client. - Curious about new tools and approaches but disciplined about when and how they get introduced. - Has worked in a fully remote engineering environment. - Disciplined about sync communication, documentation, and keeping the team aligned without constant check-ins. Benefits - You will have real ownership of the engineering function, not just a seat at the table. - High trust, high autonomy: we give ownership to people who have earned it. - A team that is actively moving toward an AI-native model; you will help define what that looks like in practice. - Remote-first culture with strong async communication practices. - Diverse, fast-moving project environment across healthcare, fintech, retail, hospitality, and more.
